Lian Li’s DK07 Wood Motorized Standing Desk Doubles as Dual E-ATX PC Chassis, Available Now for $1,399.99

Lian Li, a manufacturer of PC cases and accessories, announced five new wood-finished variants of its DK07 motorized standing desk this week. The new DK07 Wood line retains the original 2024 model’s $1,399.99 launch price and is available immediately through major PC hardware retailers including Amazon, Newegg, Caseking, Overclockers UK, and SCAN. The updated models add dark walnut wood finishes and tempered glass panels to the existing DK07 chassis functionality, which supports single or dual E-ATX PC builds with massive cooling capacity.

The original DK07 launched in 2024 as a niche product merging ergonomic standing desk functionality with high-end PC chassis features. The new Wood variants keep all core specifications while expanding aesthetic options for users who want premium material finishes in their workspace. Lian Li confirmed the five new models vary in wood finish and minor design details, with the dark walnut variant leading the lineup.

Technical Specifications

The DK07 Wood retains the original model’s height adjustment range of 676 millimeters (26.61 inches) to 1,162 millimeters (45.7 inches), with three customizable preset positions for quick transitions between sitting and standing. A sliding front panel lifts the tempered glass desktop to provide access to internal components, while removable modular motherboard trays let users pre-install hardware outside the desk before sliding trays into the chassis. This design reduces build complexity compared to installing components directly inside a fixed chassis.

GPU support includes both horizontal and vertical orientations, with maximum clearance for 383mm length cards, enough for most flagship consumer GPUs including Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX models. Power supply support accommodates up to two full-size 220mm ATX PSUs, with mounting points for 10 3.5-inch HDDs and six 2.5-inch SSDs, enough for high-capacity media storage or server-style dual-system builds.

Cooling capacity is a key focus for the DK07 Wood, with support for a single 480mm radiator or up to four 360mm radiators and 17 120mm fans in a single-system configuration. For dual-system builds, the desk supports up to two 360mm radiators and 12 120mm fans, enough to cool two high-end CPUs and multiple GPUs simultaneously. Dedicated front panel I/O for each system includes power and reset buttons, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and a combined mic/audio jack, eliminating the need for external USB hubs for dual-PC setups.

Additional features include a built-in wireless charging pad for smartphones, two integrated drawers for small accessories, internal cable organizers, dual cable pass-through holes for peripherals, and a rear cable tray to keep workspace cables tidy. The tempered glass desktop lets users display internal hardware, a common feature in enthusiast PC builds.

Market Implications

The DK07 Wood targets a narrow segment of PC enthusiasts who run dual-system setups, such as streamers who use one PC for gaming and a second for encoding, or developers who need isolated test environments. For these users, the DK07 eliminates the need for two separate PC cases and a standalone standing desk, saving floor space and reducing cable clutter.

Price comparisons highlight the product’s value proposition for its target audience. A mid-range motorized standing desk with similar height adjustment and weight capacity retails for $800 to $1,000. A single E-ATX enthusiast case with tempered glass panels and support for 360mm radiators costs $150 to $200, so two cases would add $300 to $400 to the total cost. Adding the two amounts gives a combined price of $1,100 to $1,400, which aligns closely with the DK07 Wood’s $1,399.99 price point. The DK07 adds integrated cable management, wireless charging, and modular build trays, features not included in separate desk and case purchases.

Supply chain availability is broad, with distribution through major North American and European PC hardware retailers. Lian Li did not mention supply constraints, so the DK07 Wood is available for immediate order with standard shipping times for each retailer.

Trade-offs for the DK07 Wood include its high entry price, which puts it out of reach for casual PC users. The desk is also heavy and bulky, requiring significant floor space even when not extended to full height. It does not support smaller form factors like Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX as primary builds, though users could install smaller motherboards in the E-ATX trays with unused space.

The DK07 Wood fills a specific gap in the PC hardware market, where standing desks and enthusiast cases have developed as separate product categories. By merging the two, Lian Li caters to a dedicated group of users who prioritize workspace integration and hardware display. For users with dual E-ATX systems, the DK07 Wood offers a unified solution that simplifies builds and reduces clutter, even at a premium price.
