OnePlus Nord 6 in for review
The OnePlus Nord 6 has arrived at our office for review, and we're taking a closer look at the company's latest mid-range offering before its official launch in India on April 7.

Unboxing experience The Nord 6 comes in newly designed packaging that marks a departure from the traditional Nord aesthetic. While it retains the signature blue color scheme, OnePlus has eliminated the large triple Nord logos that have been a defining feature since the original Nord launched in 2020. This sleeker design aligns more closely with the packaging of OnePlus's mainline devices, though it maintains distinct color differentiation.
Inside the box, you'll find the phone itself along with a color-matched silicone case. This inclusion is particularly noteworthy as OnePlus continues to bundle cases with devices specifically for the Indian market, even as many manufacturers have scaled back on such accessories. Also included is an 80W fast charger and a red charging cable, ensuring you have everything needed to get started right away.
Key specifications
The OnePlus Nord 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. This hardware configuration positions the Nord 6 as a performance-oriented mid-range device.
The display is another highlight, featuring a 165Hz AMOLED panel that matches the specifications of the OnePlus 15. This high refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling and responsive touch interactions, making it particularly appealing for gaming and media consumption.
Battery life should be exceptional thanks to the massive 9000mAh capacity, which is considerably larger than what's typically found in this segment. The device also includes comprehensive ingress protection with IP66/68/69/69K ratings, offering robust defense against dust and water.
Camera system
OnePlus has made some interesting adjustments to the camera setup compared to the Chinese OnePlus Turbo 6. While both devices share the same 50MP Sony Lytia main camera, the Nord 6 features an 8MP ultra-wide camera in addition to the primary sensor. The front-facing camera has also been upgraded from a 16MP unit on the Turbo 6 to a 32MP sensor on the Nord 6, promising improved selfie quality.
The Nord 6 will be available in three color options: silver, black, and green, giving potential buyers some variety in their choice.
Market positioning
Currently, India is the only market slated to receive the OnePlus Nord 6, making it a region-specific offering. This strategy aligns with OnePlus's approach of tailoring its product lineup to different regional markets based on consumer preferences and competitive landscapes.
With its launch scheduled for April 7, the Nord 6 appears positioned to compete in the premium mid-range segment, offering flagship-level features like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, high-refresh-rate display, and substantial battery capacity at what will likely be a more accessible price point than OnePlus's flagship devices.
We'll be conducting a full review of the OnePlus Nord 6 in the coming days, so stay tuned for our comprehensive analysis of performance, camera quality, battery life, and overall user experience.
