Five months after their initial reveal, Abxylute has confirmed a February 18 launch date for its Nintendo Switch 2 controllers via Kickstarter. The N6 and N9C represent distinct approaches to enhancing Nintendo's handheld experience, positioning themselves as premium alternatives to the console's included Joy-Cons. Both models connect directly to the Switch 2 via USB-C, bypassing wireless limitations for near-zero latency gameplay.

The flagship N6 replaces Joy-Cons with a feature set targeting serious gamers. Its Hall Effect joysticks eliminate drift concerns through magnetic sensors and incorporate anti-friction metal rings. Notably, the 23° stick angle provides greater range than the Joy-Con's 18° design, potentially improving precision in shooters and action games. Physical enhancements include conductive rubber ABXY buttons and D-pad for tactile feedback, plus two programmable back buttons for custom mappings. Vibration adjustment allows users to fine-tune haptic intensity.

The N9C offers a streamlined alternative focused on portability. While sharing core features like the 9-axis gyroscope, dedicated voice-chat button, turbo functionality, and macro support, it sacrifices the N6's detachable design and Hall Effect sticks. Both controllers include adjustable vibration systems and USB-C connectivity, maintaining consistent core functionality.

Compared to standard Switch 2 Joy-Cons, the N6's technical improvements are substantial. The Hall Effect joysticks address Nintendo's longstanding drift issues, while the expanded stick angle provides finer control granularity. Back buttons offer competitive advantages in titles requiring complex input combinations. The N9C delivers similar core functionality in a more compact form factor, though without premium joystick technology.

These controllers target distinct audiences: The N6 caters to performance-focused players seeking professional-grade responsiveness and durability, justifying its higher expected price. The N9C serves mobile gamers prioritizing compactness while retaining key enhancements over stock controllers. Both models launch exclusively on Kickstarter in Indigo Purple, with the N6 also available in Translucent Black.

Potential buyers should note the Kickstarter delivery model involves inherent timeline risks. The originally announced N9 controller remains in development with no revised launch window. With pricing yet to be confirmed during the crowdfunding campaign, value assessment will depend heavily on final costs versus the Switch 2's included controllers.
