AYANEO KONKR FIT launches with Ryzen AI 9 HX processors and OLED display at premium pricing

AYANEO has opened pre-orders for its KONKR FIT handheld gaming PC, marking the company's first Windows handheld under the KONKR brand. Positioned as a premium device, the KONKR FIT features AMD's newest Ryzen AI 9 HX-series processors paired with a 7-inch 1920×1080 OLED display running at 144Hz. The base model starts at $999 with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, and a 512GB SSD. For $1299, buyers get upgraded specs including a Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 chip, 32GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

While the HX 470 represents AMD's newer Gorgon Point architecture, real-world performance gains over the Strix Point-based HX 370 are expected to be marginal. This makes the $300 price difference primarily reflect the doubled RAM and storage capacity rather than significant processing improvements. Users should note that RAM is soldered and non-upgradable, while storage uses the compact M.2 2230 form factor—less common than standard 2280 SSDs, potentially complicating future storage expansions.

The device includes thoughtful gaming-centric features: TMR joysticks with RGB lighting, Hall effect triggers with adjustable travel distance, dual rear buttons, and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. Thermal management employs a copper plate vapor chamber cooling solution. At $999+, the KONKR FIT enters a competitive segment where devices like the Steam Deck OLED start at $549. The pricing strategy reflects AYANEO's focus on high-end components and build quality, though it requires buyers to value the OLED display's superior contrast and refresh rate enough to justify the premium.
