Casio's new G-Shock DW5600RGM-1 and DW6900RGM-5 watches feature distinctive origami-inspired designs and are now available in the US for $165 each.

Casio has expanded its G-Shock origami series to the US market, making the DW5600RGM-1 and DW6900RGM-5 watches available for purchase at $165.00 each through the company's online store and physical location in SoHo, New York. These watches, which first appeared at the end of 2025, have already been released in Japan and European markets including the UK and Germany.

The origami-inspired design is the standout feature of both models. Each watch incorporates a dotted and dashed line pattern that represents the mountain and valley folds characteristic of origami art. This design element gives the watches a distinctive geometric aesthetic that sets them apart from traditional G-Shock offerings.

The DW5600RGM-1 presents a classic black color scheme with a matte resin casing and strap. White lines create contrast against the dark background, highlighting the origami pattern. This model features a rectangular digital display with a light background that shows time and date information. As with all G-Shock watches, it offers robust durability with shock resistance and 200 meters of water resistance. Additional features include an alarm, timer, and stopwatch functions.

The DW6900RGM-5 takes a different approach with its color palette, featuring a white resin casing adorned with a black pattern. This hybrid design maintains the origami theme while offering a brighter overall appearance. The digital display is slimmer than the DW5600RGM-1 and sits below a triple graph that's linked to features like the stopwatch. It shares the same core functionality as its counterpart, including a multi-function alarm, timer, and 200 meters of water resistance.

Both watches represent Casio's continued innovation in the G-Shock line, combining the brand's legendary durability with artistic design elements. The origami theme adds a cultural dimension to these timepieces, potentially appealing to collectors and fashion-conscious consumers who appreciate the intersection of traditional art and modern technology.

The availability of these watches in the US market provides American consumers access to designs that have already proven popular in other regions. The $165 price point positions these models as accessible luxury items within the G-Shock lineup, offering unique aesthetics without venturing into the higher price ranges of limited edition or premium G-Shock models.

For those interested in purchasing, the watches are available through Casio's official US online store, with the option to see them in person at the SoHo retail location in New York City. This dual availability approach allows customers to either conveniently order online or experience the watches firsthand before making a purchase decision.
