Casio's G-Shock GMA-P2100 Touch of Blue series hybrid watches launch in Europe after Japanese debut, featuring compact designs, 200m water resistance, and €99.90 price point across three color variants.

Casio has expanded its G-Shock Touch of Blue series to European markets, bringing the GMA-P2100 hybrid watches to consumers in the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and other countries after their initial launch in Japan earlier in 2026. The three new models - GMA-P2100BA-1A, GMA-P2100BA-2A, and GMA-P2100BA-7A - are now available through Casio's online store for €99.90 each.

The G-Shock GMA-P2100 series represents Casio's commitment to combining traditional analog watch aesthetics with modern digital functionality in a more compact form factor. Each model features a resin casing measuring 46.0 x 40.2 x 11.2 mm (~1.81 x 1.58 x 0.44 inches) and comes with a matching resin strap, making them notably smaller than many traditional G-Shock models while maintaining the brand's signature durability.

The watches offer impressive specifications for their price point. With 200 meters of water resistance, these timepieces are suitable for swimming and snorkeling, though not recommended for scuba diving. The shock-resistant construction ensures they can withstand the rigors of outdoor activities and sports. Battery life is rated at three years, which is competitive for hybrid analog-digital watches in this category.

Each watch in the Touch of Blue series features a distinctive color scheme with blue accents. The GMA-P2100BA-1A comes in black with blue highlights, the GMA-P2100BA-2A is entirely blue, and the GMA-P2100BA-7A features a white case with blue accents. This color palette gives the watches a modern, sporty appearance while maintaining versatility for everyday wear.

Functionally, the GMA-P2100 watches offer a blend of analog and digital features. The time is displayed using two analog hands, while an inset digital display provides additional information such as the date. Users can select their time zone from a list of 48 cities, making these watches practical for frequent travelers. Additional on-watch tools include a countdown timer, a precise stopwatch, and five daily alarms, covering most basic timekeeping needs.

For European customers, Casio offers free shipping when purchasing through their online store, though this requires signing up for a free Casio ID account. This account system also provides access to warranty registration and other customer services.

While the European release is now underway, details regarding a US launch of the G-Shock GMA-P2100 Touch of Blue series have yet to be disclosed. Given the popularity of G-Shock watches in the American market, a US release seems likely, but Casio has not provided specific timing or pricing information for North American consumers.

The €99.90 price point positions these watches as an accessible entry point into the G-Shock lineup, particularly for those who prefer a more compact and understated design compared to the brand's larger, more rugged models. This pricing strategy could help Casio attract new customers who might find traditional G-Shock watches too bulky or expensive.

The Touch of Blue series appears to be targeting consumers who want the durability and functionality of a G-Shock watch but prefer a more refined aesthetic that can transition from outdoor activities to casual office environments. The combination of analog hands with digital displays offers a classic look while maintaining modern functionality.

As Casio continues to expand its hybrid watch offerings, the GMA-P2100 series demonstrates the brand's ability to evolve its product lineup while maintaining the core values of durability and functionality that have made G-Shock watches popular for decades. The European launch of these models suggests Casio sees continued demand for compact, versatile timepieces that can serve multiple purposes in consumers' daily lives.
