Kuxiu's new X55 Turbo offers Qi2.2 25W wireless charging for iPhone in a budget-friendly 3-in-1 charger that includes everything you need in the box.

I few months back, I reviewed Kuxiu's X40 Turbo. It was one of the first chargers to bring us the new Qi2.2 25W charging speeds. It came in an awesome cosmic orange color to match the new iPhone 17 Pro, was super compact, and also charged my Apple Watch and AirPods. That charger became a mainstay in my travel pack. But now Kuxiu has introduced its new X55 Turbo charger, a more budget-focused option that delivers nearly the same core experience at a more competitive price point. The biggest change comes down to the design and materials, but performance stays the same, which is the most important aspect. Here is what you should know.

Kuxiu X55 Turbo specs

The biggest thing to note here is that this charger focuses on bringing the fastest Qi2.2 charging speeds without breaking the bank. It still follows the same folding 3-in-1 design language that the X40 Turbo has, but, with even more functionality and use case scenarios. The biggest cost difference you will see between the X40 Turbo and the X55 Turbo is that the X55 is made of plastic, while the X40 is made of aluminum. Here are the key specs:

  • Supports Qi2.2 25W fast charging
  • Supported by iPhone 16 and newer running iOS 26
  • Older iPhones will charge at 15W
  • 3 in 1 charger that charges iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods
  • Max output of 35W – 25W for phone, 5W for Airpods, 5W for Apple Watch

Included in packaging:

  • X55 Turbo
  • Hardshell storage pouch
  • 45W charging brick
  • USB-C cable

A few things really stand out here. The first is the fact that this still includes the charging brick needed to get the maximum charging output. This is rarer and rarer these days. The second standout is that even though this is a budget-friendly product, you still get the max charging speeds of 25W. There is also a charging mode that the X55 Turbo has that even the X40 does not have. Let me explain.

My experience

If you have used the old X55 charger or even the X40 Turbo, then this will feel very familiar. The first aspect I like calling out about Kuxiu products is that you get everything you need to use them. There are chargers that are 3X the price and don't even include the charging brick in the box, so the fact that this one comes with a 45W GaN charger is amazing.

The biggest physical difference is in the build materials. The X55 Turbo is made of this soft-touch, almost rubber-feeling, plastic. What is nice is that it still feels premium. It feels like the bottom of the iPad Pro's Magic Keyboard, which does make it feel like a more expensive product. It also has some nice weight to it, which helps when you use this charger in stand mode.

I have been using this charger as my main nightstand charger for about two weeks now and it checks every single box. A few things really stood out to me. The first is the versatility. You can use this charger in a multitude of modes and environments. For example, you can fold it up completely and use it as a single Magsafe puck-type charger to charge your iPhone. You can also unfold it to use as a stand, and you can charge all three devices while your iPhone is in standby mode. Lastly, unlike the X40 Turbo, this one can lie completely flat. Even if your phone doesn't support MagSafe, you can still use it with this charger.

One last quality-of-life feature I noticed is that the AirPods charger has magnets to help with alignment when you place it down. If you have a modern pair of AirPods, they have MagSafe magnets. So, combine that with the magnets on the charger, and you will never have an alignment issue when placing it down.

Pricing and availability

The Kuxiu X55 Turbo comes in just one color, as shown above. You can get it from Kuxiu's store for just $59, compared to the X40 Turbo, which is listed at $80. As I stated, the X55 Turbo comes with the charger, a 45W charging brick, cable, and even a carrying case.

Final thoughts

We live in a world with thousands of charging options. So it's nice when you get to see a charger that checks off every box, brings everything you need, and comes at a great price. While there is still a market for a charger with nicer finishes and materials, most people just want something that works, works great, and lasts for years. Kuxiu has provided that with the X55 Turbo.

You get a charger that adapts to any situation. You can use it as a main desk charger and also fold it up to take it with you on the go. You get the fastest wireless charging speeds that iPhones support, and it's purpose-built for your Apple ecosystem. Overall, this is a great product that gets my recommendation.

What do you think? Is this something you would use? Do you have a Qi2.2 wireless charger? Does your iPhone support that? Let's discuss below.
