Anker has opened pre-orders for the Eufy S2, its most advanced robot vacuum to date, offering early buyers a free brush set ahead of the device's full retail launch on May 22, 2026.
Anker's smart home brand Eufy has begun taking pre-orders for the S2, the successor to last year's S1 (Pro) flagship robot vacuum first shown at IFA 2025. The S2 is priced at €1,499, and buyers who pre-order directly from the Eufy website before the official launch will receive a free replacement brush set worth €79.99. The full retail rollout, including availability on Amazon and in physical retail stores, is scheduled for May 22, 2026, which Anker has branded as Anker Day 2026.

What's new in the Eufy S2
The S2 packs a long list of hardware and software upgrades over its predecessor. Anker has increased suction power to 30,000 Pa, a significant jump that places the S2 in the top tier of robot vacuum suction ratings. For context, Pascals (Pa) measure the air pressure generated by the vacuum motor: higher values correlate to better pickup of fine dust, pet hair, and debris embedded deep in carpet fibers. Budget robot vacuums typically range from 2,000 to 4,000 Pa, while mid-range models sit between 10,000 and 15,000 Pa, so the S2's 30,000 Pa rating is aimed at users with high-pile carpets or heavy shedding pets.
The mopping system has received a more substantial overhaul. The S2 uses a 29 cm-wide roller mop mounted at the rear of the unit, which can extend 15 mm toward room edges to clean along baseboards and furniture legs. This roller applies 15N of downward pressure to agitate hard floor surfaces, and is constantly flushed with fresh water via 32 dedicated water jets to avoid redistributing dirt and grime across the floor. This is a departure from the flat mop pads used on the S1 generation, which dragged across floors and required manual rinsing between cleaning cycles.

Navigation and obstacle detection have also been upgraded. The new CleanMind AI system pairs with 3D MatrixEye 2.0 sensors to create detailed 3D maps of cleaning areas, adapt cleaning patterns to room layouts, and detect up to 200 distinct obstacles, including small items like charging cables, shoes, and pet waste. This is an improvement over the S1's obstacle detection, which capped at 100 recognized objects in our prior testing. Also new is AeroTurbo Carpet Master 2.0 technology, which automatically adjusts suction and brush speed based on carpet pile height, and can climb carpet edges up to 5 cm tall, a common pain point for robot vacuums that often get stuck on transition strips between rooms.
Smart home integration has been expanded with Matter support. The S2 can now connect to any Matter-certified smart home ecosystem, including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings, without requiring a separate hub. Previously, Eufy robot vacuums were limited to control via the Eufy app or select third-party integrations, so this opens the S2 to a much wider range of users.
One of the more unusual additions is a built-in room fragrance system. The S2 includes an integrated air freshener dispenser that can release one of three pre-loaded scents: Citrus & Basil, Bamboo & Sage, and Bergamot & Lychee. Users can schedule fragrance releases via the Eufy app, or trigger them on demand after cleaning cycles to freshen rooms. This is a first for Eufy's robot vacuum line, and sets the S2 apart from most competitors that do not include built-in air care features.

All of these features are paired with the new 12-in-1 UniClean Station, which handles maintenance tasks including dustbin emptying, mop washing, water refilling, and drying. Anker says the station reduces manual maintenance to a minimum, with most users only needing to refill water and empty the dustbin once every few weeks depending on usage.
How the S2 compares to the Eufy S1 and competitors
Against the S1 (Pro), the S2's upgrades are targeted at addressing the most common complaints from owners of the earlier model. Anker has boosted suction power to 30,000 Pa, a notable increase over the S1 generation's rating. The roller mop replaces the flat mop pad, which we found left streaks on hardwood floors in S1 testing. The obstacle detection count has doubled from 100 to 200 objects, and Matter support is entirely new for the S2. The room fragrance system is exclusive to the S2, with no equivalent on the S1.
In the broader flagship robot vacuum market, the S2's €1,499 price point places it between mid-range models like the Roborock Q Revo Master (€1,299) and premium models like the iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ (€1,799). The S2's combination of 30,000 Pa suction, roller mop with edge extension, and built-in fragrance system makes it competitive with both, offering features that are split across higher and lower-priced rivals. Most competing models either use flat mop pads or lack smart home Matter support, giving the S2 a unique value proposition for users who want both high cleaning performance and broad ecosystem compatibility.

Who should buy the Eufy S2
The S2 is aimed at users who want a top-tier cleaning experience with minimal manual intervention. The 30,000 Pa suction and AeroTurbo Carpet Master 2.0 make it a strong pick for homes with high-pile carpets, multiple pets, or heavy foot traffic that generates embedded debris. The roller mop with edge extension and 32 water jets is better suited for hard floor homes than flat-pad competitors, as it avoids streaking and covers more surface area per pass.
Smart home enthusiasts will appreciate the Matter support, which allows the S2 to work with existing setups without extra hubs. The room fragrance system is a bonus for users who want to combine floor cleaning with light air care, though it is an optional feature that can be disabled if not needed.
The pre-order bonus of a free €79.99 brush set adds extra value for early buyers, but the €1,499 MSRP is a significant investment. Budget-minded users or those with smaller homes may be better served by the older S1 Pro, which is likely to see price drops once the S2 launches officially. Users who do not need Matter support or the fragrance system can save money by opting for the S1, which still offers solid cleaning performance for most use cases.
