Infinix's upcoming Hot 70 smartphone has been certified by the FCC with two model variants featuring different battery capacities - 5,430mAh and 5,600mAh - while maintaining identical dimensions and core specifications.
The Infinix Hot 70 has been certified by the FCC with two model numbers - X6895 and X6895B - revealing key specifications ahead of the phone's launch. The certification documents show that while both models share identical dimensions of 167.92 x 79.12 x 7.64mm, they differ in battery capacity.
The X6895 variant features a 5,430mAh battery, while the X6895B comes with a slightly larger 5,600mAh battery. The X6895B model also supports 45W wired charging, suggesting it may be the higher-end variant of the two. Both models support standard connectivity features including LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and Galileo positioning systems.
According to the FCC filing, one of the RAM/storage configurations will be 4GB RAM with 256GB storage. This storage capacity is notably generous for a budget segment device, indicating Infinix's focus on providing ample storage space.
The Hot 70 has also recently received certification from Indonesia's SDPPI regulatory body, suggesting an imminent regional launch alongside the previously spotted Hot 70 Pro. The Pro variant was earlier revealed through a customer care website in February, though specific details about its differences from the standard model remain unclear.
This dual-model strategy with varying battery capacities is becoming increasingly common in the smartphone industry, allowing manufacturers to target different market segments while maintaining similar form factors and core features. The 45W charging support on the X6895B model indicates Infinix's continued emphasis on fast charging technology in its Hot series.
With both FCC and SDPPI certifications complete, the Infinix Hot 70 appears to be on track for a near-term release in Asian markets where the Hot series has traditionally been popular.
