Microsoft announces Agent-a-thon as part of AI Power Days, offering three skill levels for building AI agents from no-code basics to advanced multi-agent systems, with live sessions, training resources, and prizes.

Microsoft has launched the AI Power Days: Agent-a-thon, a global immersive event designed to help professionals across all skill levels build AI agents. Scheduled for February 19, 2026, this event is part of the larger Microsoft AI Power Days digital event focused on building frontier firms for the agentic AI era.

The Agent-a-thon offers three distinct tracks to accommodate participants with varying levels of technical expertise:

Level 1 - Explorer: Build Your AI Agent (Beginner) Business professionals can discover the basics of agents, core building blocks, and create their first working agent without any coding or technical background required.

Level 2 - Commander: Innovate with AI, Build and Extend Agents (Intermediate) Developers, IT professionals, and functional leads can streamline work, automate repetitive tasks, and connect data and systems to create intelligent, scalable agents that solve real business challenges.

Level 3 - Master: Build Scalable Agents with Microsoft Technologies (Advanced) Developers, IT professionals, enterprise architects, and experienced builders can explore advanced agent orchestration, multi-agent workflows, and enterprise-grade patterns using Microsoft's AI apps, services, and Azure tooling.

Participants receive access to a short, self-paced course through Microsoft Training Services Partner Founderz, allowing them to learn fundamentals, build confidence through guided lessons, and prepare for the live session. The virtual global building session on February 19 features ninety minutes of guided, interactive building, live Q&A moderation with expert support, an AI voice agent for idea generation and questions, and a closing celebration with initial prizes.

After the live session, participants have one week to refine and submit their agent design for consideration for a grand prize, with winners announced in early March 2026 on The Skills Hub Blog. The event emphasizes that developing agent-building skills is becoming a core competency for professionals navigating today's evolving business landscape, positioning participants to lead with confidence in an AI-driven future.

Register now for your chosen level and join this exciting global event to build the skills and confidence to start creating real agents fast.
