Microsoft Security unveils expanded incentives, AI agent development tools, and new SMB offerings to help partners scale their security business in 2026
Microsoft Security has rolled out a comprehensive March update for partners, featuring expanded incentives, new AI agent development opportunities, and enhanced SMB offerings designed to accelerate growth in the security market.
Microsoft 365 E7: The Next Frontier in Enterprise Security
Microsoft is introducing Microsoft 365 E7, positioning it as "The Frontier Suite" for enterprises navigating the AI agent era. This new offering combines Microsoft 365 E5, Entra Suite, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Agent 365 into a unified platform for human-led, agent-operated enterprises.
For partners, this represents a significant opportunity across deployment, governance, adoption, and ongoing optimization services. The suite addresses the emerging challenge of operating AI agents at scale with trust and security.
Cyber Pulse: New Thought Leadership Series
Microsoft is launching "Cyber Pulse," a new thought leadership series starting with Issue 1: An AI Security Report. The report provides business and security leaders with practical insights on emerging AI security risks, focusing on the rapid rise of AI agents and the urgent need for observability, governance, and Zero Trust security.
Enhanced SMB Offerings
New customer-facing pages are now available for Microsoft Purview Suite for Business Premium and Microsoft Defender Suite for Business Premium. These resources make it easier for partners to articulate the value of integrated data protection, compliance, and threat protection on Microsoft 365 Business Premium.
Partners can now unlock new attach and renewal revenue with these suites, which are available as attach SKUs for Microsoft 365 Business Premium and fully integrated into the Security Business Case Builder (BCB) for quantified, value-based security conversations.
Expanded CSP Promotion Limits
To support high-volume deals and reduce friction, Microsoft is increasing the maximum license cap for eligible Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) promotions from 2,400 to 9,999 licenses. This update simplifies large transactions, aligns guidance across Core, Security, and Copilot, and can accelerate upsell momentum.
Partner Marketing Center Pro and Security Copilot Agents
The new Partner Marketing Center Pro enables partners to activate ready-to-use Microsoft campaigns and assets, customize demand generation with AI, and launch targeted marketing initiatives.
Partners can now build Security Copilot agents and publish them in the Microsoft Security Store. Published agents become discoverable within Security Copilot and Microsoft Security products, enabling partners to reach new customers, expand solution visibility, and deliver differentiated AI-powered security outcomes. A Quick Start Development Toolkit provides detailed guidance for agent development.
Microsoft Sentinel Accelerator Updates
Beginning March 1, 2026, Microsoft Sentinel Accelerator has increased payments (up to $60,000) and shifted from a daily ingestion model to a monthly usage model. The qualification, activation, and stabilization criteria have been updated:
- Partners qualify customers using 0–1,500 GB/month usage
- Earn activation at 1,500 GB/month
- Receive increased activation and stabilization payment amounts
The changes provide a more predictable and growth-aligned incentive experience.
Security Immersion Briefings Enhanced
Security Immersion Briefings for Threat Protection and Data Security now include updated delivery guidance, refreshed resources, and new briefing kits for Microsoft Defender Suite and Microsoft Purview Suite for Business Premium. The Advanced Security for Business Premium Immersion Briefing requires nomination through a Threat Protection or Data Security Immersion Briefing.
Briefings now feature localized, ready-to-use content in multiple languages, empowering partners to deliver high-value security sessions that showcase Microsoft data protection capabilities and accelerate customer intent.
