The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra is rumored to feature an 8,500mAh battery, 165Hz refresh rate, and MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, marking significant upgrades over its predecessor.
OnePlus is expected to follow up 2025's Ace 5 Ultra with a successor. There are rumors the new phone, which is expected to be called the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, will be announced in April. Now, a new leak has revealed a few key technical specifications of the upcoming smartphone.
The source of the info is the Weibo user @PandaVeryBald, and in a post on the microblogging site, he revealed the battery capacity, refresh rate, and processor of the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra. Based on the post, OnePlus appears to be upgrading these three features when compared to the Ace 5 Ultra.

According to the source, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will have an 8,500mAh battery capacity. This is a significant upgrade over the 6,700mAh battery of the previous generation. In addition, the leak also says the new phone will have a 165Hz refresh rate, a boost from its predecessor's 144Hz refresh rate. While the screen size and type wasn't stated, it most likely is an AMOLED panel. We also won't be surprised if the display gets a brightness boost.
Last but not least is the processor, which is reported to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. This is the same processor inside the Oppo Find X9 Pro and the Vivo X300 Pro. However, while these smartphones boast powerful cameras, the Ace 6 Ultra is likely going to disappoint in that department. Last year's Ace 5 Ultra had a 50MP primary camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, while a 16MP camera sits in front for selfies and video calls. So while the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra may offer similar performance, it most likely won't be able to match them when it comes to their cameras.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 is built on a 3nm process and features an octa-core CPU with a Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 3.2GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz. The GPU is a Mali-G610 MC20, which should provide excellent gaming performance. This chipset also supports LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring fast data transfer speeds.
The massive 8,500mAh battery represents a 27% increase over the previous model and should provide exceptional battery life, especially when paired with the efficient Dimensity 9500. The jump to 165Hz refresh rate will make animations smoother and improve the gaming experience, though it may impact battery life slightly compared to lower refresh rates.
While the camera system remains a potential weak point compared to flagship competitors, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra appears to be positioning itself as a performance-focused device with excellent battery life and display quality. The use of the same processor as the Oppo Find X9 Pro and Vivo X300 Pro suggests OnePlus is prioritizing performance and efficiency over camera innovation in this model.
The April announcement timeframe aligns with OnePlus's typical product launch schedule, and we can expect more details to emerge as the launch date approaches.
