Samsung launches its first Qi2 magnetic power bank designed specifically for the Galaxy S26 series, addressing compatibility issues with third-party accessories.

Samsung has launched its new Magnet Wireless Battery Pack globally, finally addressing a long-standing issue for Galaxy S26 series owners. The flagship phones launched without built-in magnets, creating compatibility headaches with third-party Qi2 power banks that couldn't properly attach to the devices' unique camera bump design.

The power bank features a cutout design specifically engineered to fit around the large vertical camera bump found on Galaxy S26 and S25 phones, including the massive Galaxy S26 Ultra. This thoughtful design ensures the power bank sits flush against the phone's back, enabling proper wireless charging functionality that many third-party accessories couldn't achieve.

In terms of charging capabilities, the 5,000 mAh capacity should deliver at least one full charge for most smartphones. However, wireless charging is capped at 15W, which falls short of the Galaxy S26 Ultra's 25W Qi2 capability. For users needing faster charging speeds, Samsung included a USB-C port that supports up to 25W wired charging.

The power bank includes several thoughtful features: a foldable kickstand for hands-free use while charging, and it comes with a 0.2m USB-C cable in the box. At just 40g and measuring 7.6 x 102.5 x 14.2 mm, it's remarkably compact for a magnetic power bank.

Pricing varies significantly by region. In the US, it's available for $64.99 directly from Samsung, with Amazon and Best Buy listings currently showing as out of stock. UK customers get a better deal at £37.80 (down from £54) through Samsung UK and Amazon UK.

This launch represents Samsung's commitment to its Qi2 ecosystem, providing a first-party solution that properly integrates with its latest flagship devices. For Galaxy S26 owners frustrated by third-party compatibility issues, this power bank finally delivers the seamless magnetic charging experience that should have been built into the phones from the start.
