Ugreen launches the Maxidok 17-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 docking station with 17 ports, triple monitor support, and PCIe M.2 slot at a launch discount.
Ugreen has launched its latest Thunderbolt 5 docking station, the Maxidok 17-in-1, which significantly expands port options and connectivity compared to its predecessor. The new dock offers 17 total ports versus 13 on the previous Revodok Max 2131, making it better suited for demanding productivity setups that require extensive peripheral connectivity.
Built around Thunderbolt 5 with 120 Gbps performance, the Maxidok 17-in-1 provides comprehensive connectivity options. The front panel features three 10 Gbps USB-C ports, SD and microSD 4.0 card slots, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack for quick access to frequently used connections. Around the back, users will find the Thunderbolt 5 ports alongside three 10 Gbps USB-A ports, a DisplayPort 2.1 output, a 2.5 GbE Ethernet jack, and dedicated audio input and output ports.

One standout feature that distinguishes this dock from competitors like the CalDigit TS5 Plus is the inclusion of a PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot that supports SSDs up to 8 TB. This expansion capability allows users to add high-speed storage directly to their docking station, eliminating the need for separate external drives.
The dock supports dual 6K displays at 60 Hz on recent MacBooks and up to three 4K displays on Windows PCs via Thunderbolt 5 and DisplayPort connections. This triple monitor support makes it particularly attractive for professionals who require extensive screen real estate for their workflows.
Power delivery is handled by a 240 W power adapter, which delivers up to 140 W of charging power for the connected laptop and 60 W shared between the USB-C ports. The dock features a premium aluminum unibody design with gold accents and includes a 60 mm cooling fan to help maintain optimal operating temperatures during extended use.

Currently available globally for $499.99 through Amazon and Ugreen, the dock is being offered at a launch discount of $389.99 on the Ugreen website. However, shipping won't begin until March 24, so interested buyers will need to wait a few weeks for delivery.
For those considering alternatives, the CalDigit TS5 Plus remains the best option, offering more ports (20) for the same price before discounts. However, the Ugreen Maxidok's unique PCIe M.2 slot and triple monitor support on Windows may justify the choice for users with specific needs.

The Maxidok 17-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Docking Station represents Ugreen's push into the premium docking market, competing directly with established brands while offering distinctive features like the M.2 expansion slot that could appeal to power users and content creators who need both extensive connectivity and additional storage options in a single device.
