Asus expands its ExpertBook business lineup with the B3 G1 series featuring Intel's latest Core Ultra 200 processors, offering vPro options, advanced security features, and AI-powered capabilities across two form factors.

Asus is expanding its ExpertBook business laptop lineup with the B3 G1 models powered by Intel's Core Ultra Series 2 CPUs, coming in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The more advanced versions, Asus offers vPro features for enterprise-grade security.

Both sizes come with 1920 x 1200 and 256 x 1600 IPS screen options. Only the 1600p display is capable of 400 nit brightness, 144 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamut. Additionally, the 16-inch model can be equipped with a 1920 x 1200 IPS touchscreen that has the same stats as the 1600p screen plus 120 Hz refresh rate. However, the touchscreen can only be included on the aluminum-lid model. The webcam on top can be an HD, FHD or FHD+IR version, all three featuring a privacy shutter.

Thanks to the integrated NPUs in the Intel Core Ultra processors, the new ExpertBook B3 G1 laptops can take advantage of advanced AI-powered features like the Asus MyExpert suite, Microsoft's Copilot and noise-canceling microphone arrays. Asus also offers the ExpertGuardian suite for increased security with NIST SP 800-193-compliant BIOS protection, dual ROM recovery and TPM 2.0 compatibility.

Processor options include the Core Ultra 5 225H, Core Ultra 5 vPro 235H, Core Ultra 7 255H and Core Ultra 7 vPro 265H. The graphics acceleration is handled by up to an Arc 140T iGPU. The CPU can be complemented by up to 96 GB DDR5-5600 RAM via user upgrades (preconfigured models cap out at 64 GB) and the storage side supports up to 6 TB (4 + 2) PCIe 4.0 NVMe via two M.2 slots (preconfigured models cap out at 2 TB).

Port selection includes a Thunderbolt 4 connector (2x only for vPro versions). For non-vPro versions, the second TB4 is replaced by a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. There also are 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.1 video out with TMDS, an audio combo jack and a GbE jack. Wireless connectivity is provided via a Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 card.

The 14-inch model has a 19.9 mm profile and weighs 1.44 kg, while the 16-inch one is very slightly thicker at 19.95 mm and weighs 1.78 kg. Weights include the batteries with 50 or 70 Wh capacities.

No availability or pricing info was provided in the press release.

The ExpertBook B3 G1 series represents Asus's latest push into the business laptop market, leveraging Intel's new Core Ultra 200 processors to deliver enhanced performance and AI capabilities. The inclusion of vPro options on select models provides IT departments with the management tools needed for enterprise deployments, while the ExpertGuardian security suite adds enterprise-grade protection features.

What sets these laptops apart is the combination of high-refresh-rate displays with professional color accuracy, making them suitable for both productivity tasks and creative work. The 144 Hz refresh rate on the 1600p panel is particularly noteworthy for a business laptop, as this specification is typically reserved for gaming or content creation devices.

The AI integration through Intel's NPU opens up new possibilities for business users, from enhanced video conferencing with noise cancellation to productivity features through Microsoft's Copilot integration. This positions the ExpertBook B3 G1 as a forward-looking business laptop that can take advantage of emerging AI workloads without requiring discrete hardware.

However, the lack of pricing and availability information leaves questions about how these specifications will translate to real-world value. The extensive configuration options, including up to 96 GB of RAM and 6 TB of storage, suggest these laptops are targeting power users and businesses with demanding workloads, but the actual market positioning will depend on the final price points.

For IT decision-makers evaluating business laptops in 2026, the ExpertBook B3 G1 series offers a compelling combination of performance, security, and display quality, though the true test will be how these specifications hold up in day-to-day business use and whether the AI features deliver tangible productivity benefits.
