Huawei expands its flagship smartwatch lineup with a new green colorway inspired by the wilderness, joining the existing black and blue models.

Huawei has expanded its Watch Ultimate 2 lineup with a new green color variant, adding to the existing black and blue options that launched in September 2025. The new colorway was revealed through a short video posted on X by the official Huawei Mobile account, showcasing a design that draws inspiration from the wilderness and outdoor activities.

The green variant features a distinctive green and white tachymeter bezel paired with a matching fluoroelastomer strap, maintaining the premium materials and construction of the original models. While the post doesn't specify an official name for the color, it's expected to simply be called "green" given its prominent appearance in the design.

Huawei appears to be targeting golfers with this new colorway, following a similar marketing strategy to the blue version, which was positioned for water-based activities like diving. However, the company emphasizes that the color choice doesn't limit the watch's functionality or intended use cases.

From a technical standpoint, the green variant maintains all the flagship features of its predecessors. The Watch Ultimate 2 continues to sport a 1.5-inch LTPO 2 AMOLED display with 466 × 466 resolution and an impressive peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The case construction combines zirconium-based liquid metal with a ceramic rear case, providing both durability and a premium feel.

The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 packs several high-end features.

The smartwatch maintains its impressive 20 ATM water resistance rating, allowing for diving depths up to 150 meters, along with double IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. The comprehensive sensor suite includes a temperature sensor, gyroscope, barometer, and magnetometer, supporting the watch's extensive health and fitness tracking capabilities.

Key features include sonar-based underwater communication, eSIM support, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Nearlink, Wi-Fi 6, and both microphone and speaker for calls and voice commands. The X-tap sensor technology enables measurement of up to 10 health vitals including ECG within 60 seconds by collecting data from both wrists and fingertips.

Additional safety features encompass fall detection and emergency SOS functionality. Battery life remains competitive at up to 4.5 days in typical usage mode and extending to 11 days in battery saver mode.

Pricing and availability details for the green variant haven't been announced yet. For context, the black version retails at €899 while the blue version is priced at €999, suggesting the new green model will likely fall within this range.

The introduction of the green variant demonstrates Huawei's strategy to appeal to different user segments through color psychology and targeted marketing, while maintaining consistent hardware specifications across the lineup. This approach allows the company to refresh its product offerings without requiring significant hardware changes, potentially extending the product lifecycle and maintaining consumer interest in the flagship smartwatch segment.
