iQOO has officially launched its Z11 and Z11x smartphones in Malaysia, bringing competitive specifications including high refresh rate displays, powerful processors, and large batteries with fast charging to international markets.

iQOO, the vivo-owned sub-brand focused on performance-oriented smartphones, has made its latest devices available outside of China for the first time. The company has officially launched the Z11 and Z11x in Malaysia, bringing two mid-range contenders with distinct feature sets to international markets.

The iQOO Z11 leads the lineup with a premium 6.83-inch AMOLED display featuring a 1260x2800 resolution and an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate provides smoother scrolling and more responsive touch interactions compared to standard 60Hz displays, making it particularly appealing for mobile gaming and general UI fluidity.

Powering the Z11 is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, Qualcomm's mid-range processor that balances performance and efficiency. The phone is equipped with a substantial 9,020 mAh battery, one of the largest in its class, supported by 90W wired charging technology. This combination ensures extended usage time and rapid recharging capabilities, addressing two key concerns for mobile users.

In terms of photography, the Z11 features a dual-camera setup on the rear, highlighted by a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. For selfies and video calls, a 32MP front-facing camera is provided. The device measures 163.73 x 76.18 x 8.25 mm and weighs 213g, making it reasonably compact for its battery capacity.

The Z11 is offered in two configurations: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage for MYR 1,599 (approximately $407), and 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage for MYR 2,199 (approximately $560). It's available in blue and black color options.

The iQOO Z11x takes a slightly different approach with a 6.76-inch LCD display featuring a 1080x2344 resolution. While not AMOLED, this panel still offers good viewing quality and is typically more durable and power-efficient than AMOLED alternatives. The Z11x is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo SoC, MediaTek's mid-range chip that competes directly with Qualcomm's offerings in this segment.

Durability is a standout feature for the Z11x, which carries IP68, IP69, and IP69+ certifications. This comprehensive protection rating means the device is resistant to dust and can withstand high-pressure water jets, making it one of the most rugged mid-range phones available.

Battery capacity on the Z11x stands at 7,200 mAh, still substantial though smaller than the Z11's. It supports 44W wired charging, which is fast but not as rapid as the Z11's 90W charging solution. The camera setup mirrors the Z11 with a 50MP main sensor, 2MP depth sensor, and 32MP selfie camera.

The Z11x measures 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.39 mm and weighs 219g, making it slightly larger and heavier than the Z11. It's offered in black and silver with two storage options: 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for MYR 1,099 (approximately $280), and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage for MYR 1,299 (approximately $330).

Both devices run on Android with iQOO's custom UI layer, similar to other vivo sub-brands. The ecosystem integration with vivo's services and accessories could provide additional value for users already invested in the vivo ecosystem. However, the open nature of Android means users aren't locked into a specific ecosystem, maintaining flexibility.

The launch of these devices in Malaysia signals iQOO's strategy to expand its global presence beyond its home market. By offering competitive specifications at attractive price points, iQOO aims to capture market share from established brands in the mid-range segment. The distinct approaches of the Z11 (premium display and faster charging) and Z11x (enhanced durability and lower price) allow the brand to address different consumer preferences within the same market segment.

For consumers in Malaysia and potentially other international markets where these devices may launch, the iQOO Z11 and Z11x represent compelling options for those seeking reliable performance without premium pricing. The combination of large batteries, capable processors, and competitive camera systems addresses the core needs of most smartphone users while maintaining value-oriented pricing.
