Oppo has officially unveiled the design and color options for its upcoming Find X9 Ultra flagship, set to launch globally on April 21. The company has showcased the phone's design and revealed its color options ahead of the launch, with pre-orders now open in China.

Although recent leaks have already revealed the phone's design, Oppo has now made things official. The Find X9 Ultra will feature a slightly redesigned rear-camera module and will be available in three color options. The Earth Tundra variant appears to feature a faux-leather rear panel, whereas the Polar Glacier and Velvet Sand Canyon shades have a matte finish with a distinct pattern at the back.

Oppo has also confirmed that there will be a Hasselblad Earth Explorer Master Kit that'll come with a case, a teleconverter, and other goodies. This variant will be available with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The Find X9 Ultra will be sold in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB variants when it goes on sale in China.

Oppo recently confirmed the complete camera specifications of the upcoming flagship. It will offer a quad-rear camera setup with a 200MP primary sensor, a 200MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP telephoto with 10x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. The phone will also offer a 50MP front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, a China Telecom listing revealed that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 6.78-inch display. It is rumored to pack a 7,050mAh battery with 100W wired charging support.

The Find X9 Ultra's design represents a continuation of Oppo's premium aesthetic while introducing some notable changes. The rear-camera module has been slightly redesigned, though specific details about the changes weren't provided in the announcement. The three color options offer distinct material choices: the Earth Tundra's faux-leather finish provides a more tactile, grippy surface, while the Polar Glacier and Velvet Sand Canyon variants offer a smoother, matte finish with unique patterns.

The Hasselblad Earth Explorer Master Kit is an interesting addition that suggests Oppo is targeting photography enthusiasts with this flagship. The kit includes a case for protection, a teleconverter for enhanced zoom capabilities, and other accessories that weren't specified. This bundle will only be available with the highest-end configuration of 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

From a technical standpoint, the Find X9 Ultra appears to be a photography-focused flagship. The quad-camera setup is particularly noteworthy, with two telephoto lenses offering different zoom levels (3x and 10x optical zoom) alongside a massive 200MP primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide camera. This versatile camera system should provide excellent flexibility for various shooting scenarios.

The rumored specifications suggest a high-end device: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset should provide excellent performance, while the large 6.78-inch display and substantial 7,050mAh battery indicate this will be a big, long-lasting device. The 100W wired charging support means users won't have to wait long for battery top-ups despite the large capacity.

With the global launch scheduled for April 21, we can expect more detailed specifications and hands-on impressions to emerge in the coming weeks. The Find X9 Ultra appears to be positioning itself as a premium flagship with a strong emphasis on camera capabilities and distinctive design choices.
