Samsung Expands Certified Re-Newed Program to Europe: Galaxy S25 Series Now Available Refurbished

Samsung has expanded its Certified Re-Newed program to European markets, making refurbished Galaxy S25 series devices officially available in the UK, Germany, and France. This follows the program's US launch last August and represents Samsung's continued commitment to device sustainability.

The program operates under different names regionally - "Certified Re-Newed" in the UK and Germany, and "Refurbished Premium By Samsung" in France - but offers identical benefits across all three countries. Currently available models include the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, though availability varies by storage configuration:

• Galaxy S25: 128GB/256GB/512GB (UK), 256GB/512GB (Germany/France)
• Galaxy S25+: 256GB/512GB
• Galaxy S25 Ultra: 256GB/512GB

Notably absent are the Galaxy S25 Edge and FE models, which launched later than the main series and may join the program subsequently.

Samsung's refurbishment process involves stringent quality controls:

1. Only premium-grade returned devices are accepted
2. Units undergo comprehensive cleaning and 100+ diagnostic tests
3. Genuine Samsung replacement parts are used for repairs
4. Every device receives a certified new battery
5. Latest firmware is installed
6. Devices are assigned new IMEI numbers
7. Packaging uses recyclable materials

Each Certified Re-Newed device ships with the same accessories as new units (USB-C cable and SIM tool) and crucially, comes with Samsung's full manufacturer warranty matching new devices - a key differentiator from third-party refurbishers.

For additional protection, buyers can opt for Samsung Care+, which includes battery replacement when health drops below 80% and theft coverage.

Jun Kim, EVP and Head of Galaxy Value Innovation Team at Samsung, stated: "We're expanding our Certified Re-Newed program in European markets to provide more options for purchasing flagship devices. While contributing to circular economy, we hope more customers can experience our latest innovations, including Galaxy AI."

While US customers also have access to refurbished Galaxy Z foldables through this program, these models aren't yet available in Europe. The Certified Re-Newed initiative represents Samsung's balanced approach to premium device accessibility and environmental responsibility.
