GSMArena gets hands-on with vivo's latest upper midranger featuring a 200MP camera, 7,000mAh battery, and premium unibody design.

We've got the new vivo V70 FE in for review - the upper midranger that recently became official in Indonesia. Our review unit comes in Ocean Blue, though there are also Muse Purple and Titanium Silver options available.

vivo went for a unibody feel with the V70 FE - the rear panel curves into the frame mimicking a seamless connection, and the entire phone is matte, which reinforces that premium feeling in hand. The design language feels cohesive and purposeful.

Camera System

There are two cameras on the back of the V70 FE - the main one is a 200MP 1/1.56-inch imager with a 24mm f/1.9 wide-angle lens. vivo is making some bold claims about this sensor's capabilities, suggesting there's plenty of resolution to cover distances all the way to 85mm with no issues (and even up to 30x). That's an interesting approach to zoom photography without a dedicated telephoto lens.

Complementing the main sensor is an 8MP ultrawide camera. As vivo points out, while you can zoom in in post-processing, zooming out requires dedicated hardware - a practical consideration that explains the inclusion of the ultrawide module.

The camera pair is aided by an "AI Aura Light", which vivo says is perfect for those 90s-style flash photos and videos. This ring light around the camera module provides more even illumination than traditional LED flashes.

Hardware and Performance

Specs-wise, the vivo V70 FE is a solid contender in the upper mid-range segment. You get a 6.83-inch 120Hz OLED display that should provide smooth scrolling and responsive gaming experiences. The display size puts it firmly in the "large phone" category.

Powering the device is a 4nm Dimensity 7360 Turbo SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. This combination should handle everyday tasks and moderate gaming without breaking a sweat. To keep things cool during extended use, whether it be gaming or streaming, vivo has included a vapor chamber for heat dissipation.

Battery Life

The battery specifications are particularly impressive - a 7,000mAh capacity that vivo claims can offer more than 40 hours of YouTube playback. That's the kind of endurance that could easily get heavy users through two full days without charging. When you do need to top up, the 90W charging can replenish the battery from 1% to 100% in an hour flat - a nice balance between charging speed and battery longevity.

Unboxing Experience

Let's do an unboxing. Inside the box, you get the phone itself, a SIM tool for tray access, a USB cable for data transfer and charging, a transparent case for protection, and the 90W charger. vivo includes the high-wattage charger in the box, which is becoming increasingly rare as some manufacturers move toward separate charger sales.

The vivo V70 FE appears to be positioning itself as a feature-rich upper midranger with standout battery life, a high-resolution main camera, and a premium design. We'll be putting it through its paces in our full review to see how these specifications translate to real-world performance.
