Overview
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), also known as 'Strong AI,' represents a level of machine intelligence that is indistinguishable from human intelligence across all domains. Unlike current AI systems, which are specialized, an AGI would be able to generalize knowledge from one context to another seamlessly.

Current Status
AGI remains a theoretical goal. While models like GPT-4 show 'sparks' of general intelligence, they are still considered advanced forms of Narrow AI because they lack true reasoning, physical world interaction, and consistent reliability across all human cognitive tasks.
