Overview

Cloud Interconnect (specifically the term used by Google Cloud) allows you to connect your on-premises network to your Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) through a highly available, low-latency connection. It is the equivalent of AWS Direct Connect or Azure ExpressRoute.

Types

  • Dedicated Interconnect: A physical connection between your on-premises network and Google's network.
  • Partner Interconnect: A connection provided through a supported service provider.
