Honor has quietly introduced the 600e smartphone in Peru, featuring a powerful Dimensity 7100 chipset, large battery, and premium display specifications that closely mirror its more expensive siblings.

Honor has quietly added a new member to its 600 series lineup with the launch of the Honor 600e in Peru. The new smartphone arrives without much fanfare, bringing flagship-level display technology and a massive battery capacity at a competitive price point.

The Honor 600e is built around MediaTek's Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Currently, this appears to be the only configuration available for the device, though Honor may expand the memory options when the phone reaches global markets. The performance should be solid for everyday tasks, gaming, and multitasking, thanks to the mid-range but capable Dimensity 7100 processor.

One of the standout features of the Honor 600e is its 6.6-inch OLED display. The panel boasts a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming, with a resolution of 1200 x 2600 pixels. Honor has equipped the screen with impressive brightness capabilities, promising 6,500 nits of peak brightness and up to 2,000 nits in high-brightness mode. This makes the display easily visible in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the screen supports high-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming, which should be easier on the eyes for users with sensitivity to flickering displays.

The camera setup on the Honor 600e consists of two sensors on the back. The primary camera is a 108MP unit with an f/1.75 aperture, which should capture detailed photos in good lighting conditions. Accompanying this is a 5MP ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there's a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

Powering the device is a substantial 6,520 mAh battery, which should provide excellent endurance for heavy users. The battery supports 45W fast wired charging, allowing for quick top-ups when needed. Additionally, the phone supports 6W reverse wired charging, enabling it to act as a power bank for other devices.

The Honor 600e runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 out of the box, providing a clean and feature-rich user experience. The device includes an additional hardware button, similar to its siblings, and carries an IP66 certification for dust and water resistance. It's available in three color options: Velvet Gray, Desert Gold, and Vital Green.

In terms of pricing, the Honor 600e is listed at PEN 1,999, which converts to approximately €505. This positions it as a mid-range offering with some premium features. The price includes some freebies, though specific details weren't mentioned in the announcement.

Interestingly, the Honor 600e's display specifications are very similar to those found on the Honor 600 and 600 Pro models, with the only notable difference being a slightly larger screen size. This suggests that Honor is positioning the 600e as a value-oriented option within the 600 series, offering much of the same display experience at potentially a lower price point.

The silent launch in Peru might indicate that Honor is testing the waters with this model before a wider global release. Given the specifications and pricing, the Honor 600e appears to be targeting users who prioritize battery life and display quality while maintaining a reasonable budget.

As with many smartphone launches, the availability of additional memory configurations remains to be seen once the device reaches other markets. The current single configuration might limit appeal for users who require more storage or different RAM options.

Overall, the Honor 600e brings several compelling features to the mid-range segment, particularly its large battery and premium display. If Honor can maintain competitive pricing and expand availability, the 600e could become an attractive option for consumers looking for a reliable smartphone with good endurance and visual quality.
