Xiaomi's high-brightness Mini LED gaming monitor, originally launched in China, is now available in Europe and Japan with 1,152 local dimming zones and 180Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi continues its aggressive expansion in the gaming monitor market with the international release of its Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026. After launching the 32-inch Redmi G Pro 32U 2026 exclusively in China, the company is now making its 27-inch alternative available to European and Japanese gamers, following its earlier Australian debut in January 2026.

Priced at €349 in the Eurozone and JPY 59,980 (approximately $377) in Japan, the G Pro 27Qi positions itself as a premium option in the competitive 27-inch gaming monitor segment. The monitor features a 1440p IPS panel with a 180Hz refresh rate, matching specifications found in competitors like the Asus ROG Strix XG27ACS, which currently retails for $269 on Amazon.

What sets Xiaomi's offering apart is its Mini LED backlighting system. The monitor incorporates 1,152 local dimming zones, enabling it to achieve a peak brightness of 2,000 nits under specific conditions. According to Xiaomi's internal testing, this maximum brightness is measured with a 10%-30% HDR white window, screen brightness set to 100, and dynamic backlight set to High. This level of brightness significantly exceeds typical gaming monitors and approaches the capabilities of professional HDR displays.

The G Pro 27Qi also boasts impressive color performance with 99% coverage of both AdobeRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. Xiaomi claims superior color calibration compared to its predecessor, the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i. The monitor achieves 1ms GtG response times, making it suitable for competitive gaming where motion clarity is crucial.

While the 32-inch Redmi G Pro 32U 2026 remains exclusive to the Chinese market for now, it uses different panel technology, suggesting Xiaomi is testing multiple approaches to the Mini LED gaming monitor segment. The company's strategy of launching products in China first before expanding internationally has become a pattern, allowing them to refine products based on initial market feedback.

The international availability of the G Pro 27Qi represents Xiaomi's commitment to competing in the premium gaming monitor space. By offering high-end features like extensive local dimming zones and exceptional brightness at a competitive price point, Xiaomi is challenging established brands in a market segment where performance and visual quality are paramount.
