Big Data refers to datasets whose size or type is beyond the ability of traditional relational databases to capture, manage, and process with low latency. It is characterized by the 'Three Vs'.
The Three Vs
- Volume: The amount of data from many sources.
- Velocity: The speed at which data is generated and processed.
- Variety: The different types of data (structured, semi-structured, unstructured).
