NFC is a very short-range wireless technology. It is an evolution of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and allows for two-way communication between devices.

  • Peer-to-Peer: Exchanging data between two smartphones.
  • Card Emulation: Using a smartphone as a contactless credit card.

  • Contactless payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay).
  • Quick pairing of Bluetooth devices.
  • Access control (key fobs and ID cards).
