Overview

SSO simplifies the user experience by reducing the number of passwords a user needs to remember. It also improves security by centralizing authentication and allowing for easier enforcement of security policies like MFA.

How it Works

SSO relies on a trusted relationship between an Identity Provider (IdP) and Service Providers (SPs). When a user logs in to the IdP, a token is generated that allows them to access all authorized SPs.

Benefits

  • Improved User Productivity: Fewer logins and password resets.
  • Enhanced Security: Centralized control and reduced password fatigue.
  • Simplified Administration: Easier to manage user access across multiple apps.
