iReader's new Neo 3 Ultra e-reader features an octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, and 2,000mAh battery for improved performance and reading time.
iReader has expanded its Neo 3 e-reader family with the launch of the Neo 3 Ultra, a premium model that sits at the top of the lineup. The new device maintains the 6-inch Carta 1300 E Ink display found in the Neo 3 Pro but adopts a sunken design rather than the flush glass finish of its sibling.

The iReader Neo 3 Ultra features a sunken Carta 1300 display with i-Clean 2.0 technology
While the display technology remains consistent with previous models, iReader has enhanced the reading experience through several software improvements. The device includes i-Clean 2.0 technology to reduce ghosting, a new super refresh mode for smoother page transitions, and ComfortLight Pro+ offering 30 levels of brightness and color temperature adjustment.
Under the hood, the Neo 3 Ultra represents a significant upgrade in processing power. The e-reader is equipped with an octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This marks a substantial improvement over the Neo 3 Pro's quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM configuration, suggesting better multitasking capabilities and faster overall performance.
Battery life has also received attention in the Ultra model. The device packs a 2,000mAh battery, up from the 1,800mAh capacity in the Pro version. According to iReader, this translates to up to 53 hours of continuous reading or 18 days of standby time on a single charge.

The iReader Neo 3 Ultra comes in a single blue colorway with orange power button accent
Physical design elements include pogo pins for connecting to optional cases with physical page-turn buttons, a weight of approximately 150 grams, and a slim 7.5mm profile. The device is available in a single color scheme featuring a blue body with an orange power button.
The iReader Neo 3 Ultra is currently available for purchase in China at a price of CNY 1,499, which converts to approximately $218 or €189. This pricing positions it as a premium offering within iReader's product lineup, reflecting the upgraded specifications and enhanced features compared to the standard Neo 3 and Neo 3 Pro models.
For consumers in the e-reader market, the Neo 3 Ultra represents iReader's push toward higher-end specifications while maintaining the core E Ink reading experience that the brand is known for. The combination of improved processing power, increased RAM, and better battery life addresses common pain points in e-reader usage, particularly for users who frequently switch between reading apps or store large digital libraries.
