Lenovo's latest Legion 5i gaming laptop debuts Intel's Panther Lake-H processors and a premium 15.3-inch 165Hz OLED display, though it steps down to RTX 5060 graphics compared to previous models.

Lenovo has officially launched the Legion 5i Gen 11 gaming laptop in European markets, marking the first commercial release featuring Intel's next-generation Panther Lake-H processors. This refresh replaces the previous Arrow Lake HX models, bringing significant display upgrades alongside notable hardware trade-offs.
The standout feature is the 15.3-inch OLED panel, which delivers a 2560×1600 resolution (1600p) at 165Hz refresh rate. With 1000 nits peak brightness and a 16:10 aspect ratio, this display targets gamers prioritizing visual quality and responsiveness.
Internally, the laptop offers Core Ultra 7 356H or Core Ultra 9 386H CPU options paired with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5060 GPU – a noticeable step down from the RTX 5070 found in its predecessor. Memory configurations include DDR5-5600 RAM and M.2 2242 SSD storage, while connectivity features Wi-Fi 7 support. The 80Wh battery remains consistent with prior models.
Pricing starts at £1,650 ($2,278) in the UK and €1,729 ($2,065) in the Eurozone for the base configuration: Core Ultra 7, RTX 5060, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and a single-zone RGB keyboard. Notably, this entry price excludes both Windows OS and the 245W power adapter. Fully loaded configurations with Core Ultra 9, 32GB RAM, 24-zone RGB keyboard, power supply, and Windows 11 Pro reach £2,209 ($3,050) and €2,339 ($2,795).
Compared to the outgoing model, the Gen 11 presents a mixed value proposition. The shift to Panther Lake CPUs brings newer architecture benefits like improved efficiency and AI capabilities, while the OLED display represents a substantial visual upgrade over traditional IPS panels. However, the GPU downgrade to RTX 5060 may disappoint performance-focused users, placing it closer to mid-tier gaming laptops. This configuration suggests Lenovo is targeting gamers who prioritize screen quality and CPU performance over maximum frame rates.
The Legion 5i Gen 11 is currently available through Lenovo's European stores, with North American availability expected later this year as previously announced. For detailed specifications and regional pricing variations, visit Lenovo's UK store, German store, or Irish store.
