New official renders of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 have leaked, providing a clearer look at Lenovo's upcoming Android tablet that was first spotted a few weeks ago. The images, shared by well-known leaker Evan Blass, show the tablet from multiple angles and reveal some interesting details about its design and optional accessories.

Unlike the first set of leaked images that surfaced earlier this month, these new renders appear to be official marketing materials. They confirm that the device will indeed be called the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, putting to rest any speculation about a different naming scheme.
The most notable revelation from these new images is the optional carrying case, which appears to be available in two color variants. While the first set of leaks showed a green case, these new renders display a light gray/silver case that matches the tablet's color scheme. The green case features a black strap with red tips, while the gray version has a green strap with copper tips - a subtle but distinctive design choice.

While Lenovo hasn't officially announced the tablet yet - and notably didn't unveil it at MWC 2026 as some had anticipated - the flood of new images suggests an official announcement could be imminent. The company has been quite active in the Android tablet space lately, having recently released the ThinkTab X11, Legion Tab Gen 5, and its Chinese equivalent, the Legion Y700 Gen 5.
Based on its predecessor, which launched in June 2024 and is currently available on Amazon.de for €215, we can make some educated guesses about the Tab Plus Gen 2's features. The 2024 model was notable for its ability to double as a Bluetooth speaker for other devices - a unique feature that we expect to carry over to the new generation. The tablet also supported 24-bit, 96kHz audio, though the removal of the audio jack on the new model would be disappointing for audiophiles.
Lenovo's recent tablet strategy has focused on creating devices that serve multiple purposes, and the Tab Plus line seems to be positioned as a lifestyle device rather than just another Android tablet. The speaker functionality, combined with the optional carrying case, suggests Lenovo is targeting users who want a portable entertainment device they can easily take on the go.
As of now, the specs and release date remain unknown, but given the timing of these leaks and Lenovo's recent product cadence, we wouldn't be surprised to see an official announcement in the coming weeks. The company has been steadily expanding its tablet lineup, and the Tab Plus Gen 2 appears to be another step in that direction.
