Motorola's new Edge 70 Fusion comes in two variants - a slim 5,200mAh model and a thicker 7,000mAh powerhouse, both featuring a 6.78" quad-curved display and Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor.

Motorola unveiled the Edge 70 Fusion at MWC 2026, launching two distinct versions that share the same name but offer different priorities for users. The company is selling both variants in Europe, with the 7,000mAh model also coming to India.

The slimmer 5,200mAh model measures 162.8mm tall and 75.6mm wide, with a thickness of 7.21mm and weight of 177g. The alternative version is slightly thicker at 7.99mm and heavier at 193g due to its larger 7,000mAh battery. Both phones share identical dimensions in height and width, with the differences coming from battery capacity and internal components.

What's particularly interesting is Motorola's approach to giving consumers a choice between form factor and battery life. The slimmer model gains only 400mAh over the super-slim Edge 70's 4,800mAh battery, while the thicker variant offers substantial endurance. This strategy acknowledges that different users prioritize different aspects of their mobile experience.

The 2026 Fusion is notably larger than its predecessor, the Edge 60 Fusion, which measured 161mm tall and 73mm wide. The new model sports a 6.78" quad-curved OLED display, up from 6.67", with curvature on all four sides - though the left and right curves are more pronounced than the top and bottom. Despite the curved design, the phone's footprint has increased significantly.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a chipset we've seen in other mid-range phones like the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G and Nothing Phone (3a) series. While it offers incremental performance improvements over the Dimensity 7300 in last year's model, the gains are modest rather than transformative.

Motorola maintains its focus on durability with IP68 and IP69 ratings, plus Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The camera setup follows a familiar pattern with a 50MP main sensor (Lytia 710), 13MP ultra-wide with macro capabilities, and 32MP front-facing camera. The design language remains consistent with current Motorola offerings, though the hardware specifications have been updated.

The phone comes in four Pantone-inspired colors - Orient Blue, Silhouette, Sporting Green, and Country Air - each featuring a texture inspired by nylon and linen. This attention to material design adds a premium feel to the mid-range device.

Pricing starts at €420/£370 for the 8GB/256GB model with the 5,200mAh battery, with the 7,000mAh variant costing an additional €20/£10. Neither version includes a charger, requiring users to supply their own 68W TurboPower adapter. The 7,000mAh model will launch in India in the coming days, giving users in that market access to the higher-capacity option.
