Nothing has launched Warp, a cross-platform file transfer solution that works between Android devices and computers running macOS, Windows, or Linux through Google Drive integration.
Nothing has entered the cross-device file transfer market with the launch of Warp, a new application that enables seamless file sharing between Android smartphones and computers running macOS, Windows, or Linux.

The Warp system consists of two components: a free Android app available on the Google Play Store and a browser extension for Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers, which can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store.
Once installed, Warp integrates directly into the Android share menu, making it accessible from any app that supports Android's native sharing functionality. Users connect their devices by signing in with the same Google account on both their Android phone and computer.
According to Nothing, the connection process makes "everything effortless" once completed. The system supports bidirectional transfers of various file types including documents, images, links, and copied text between devices.
A key privacy feature of Warp is its use of Google Drive for file transfers. Rather than storing data on Nothing's servers, the system leverages users' existing Google Drive accounts to move files between devices. Nothing states that this approach means the company neither stores nor accesses user data during the transfer process.
This launch positions Nothing as a competitor in the growing market for cross-platform file transfer solutions. While Google has begun implementing AirDrop-like functionality in its latest flagship devices and Samsung has been gradually expanding similar features, Nothing's approach offers broader compatibility by supporting multiple operating systems through a browser-based solution.
The browser extension model allows Warp to work across different desktop platforms without requiring separate native applications for each operating system, potentially simplifying the user experience and reducing development overhead.

Warp represents Nothing's latest effort to create an integrated ecosystem around its smartphone products, following previous initiatives like the Phone (1) and Phone (2) with their distinctive transparent designs and glyph lighting systems.
The application is available now as a free download, with the Android app on the Play Store and the browser extension in the Chrome Web Store.
