OnePlus unveils the Nord Buds 4 Pro with redesigned stems, 55dB ANC, titanium-coated drivers, and LHDC codec support ahead of March 19 launch.
OnePlus is preparing to launch its next-generation true wireless earbuds, the Nord Buds 4 Pro, on March 19, and the company has already revealed several key upgrades that should make the new model a compelling upgrade over its predecessor.

The design of the Nord Buds 4 Pro has undergone a subtle but noticeable transformation. While maintaining the familiar in-ear form factor, OnePlus has redesigned the stems to feature uniform thickness throughout their length, replacing the previous tapered design. The touch control area has been extended to cover approximately 40% of the stem, providing more surface area for gesture controls.
Even more apparent is the change to the charging case. OnePlus has abandoned the oval-shaped case of the previous generation in favor of a squircle design—a shape that blends square and circle elements. Despite the new form factor, the case still opens vertically and stores the earbuds in the same orientation as before.
The Nord Buds 4 Pro will launch in at least two color options: black and white, according to promotional images currently available on Amazon India.
Audio and Noise Cancellation Upgrades
OnePlus is positioning the Nord Buds 4 Pro as a significant step forward in audio performance. The earbuds feature 12mm titanium-coated drivers, which should provide improved sound quality and durability compared to standard drivers.

The active noise cancellation has been substantially enhanced, with the new model capable of up to 55dB of ANC—a 6dB improvement over the Nord Buds 3 Pro's 49dB rating. This increase in noise cancellation capability should provide better isolation in noisy environments, making the earbuds more suitable for use in public transportation, offices, or other loud settings.
Codec Support and Audio Features
One of the most notable additions is support for Hi-Res Audio Wireless and the LHDC (Low Latency High Definition Audio Codec) format. This is a significant upgrade from the Nord Buds 3 Pro, which only supported AAC and SBC codecs. LHDC support means the earbuds can now deliver higher quality audio over Bluetooth connections, particularly when paired with compatible devices.
OnePlus is also including 3D Spatial Audio and Game Sound Spatial Audio features, catering to both music enthusiasts and gamers who want immersive audio experiences.
Call Quality Improvements
For voice calls, the Nord Buds 4 Pro will feature six total microphones and AI-powered noise cancellation technology. This multi-microphone setup should provide better voice isolation and clearer call quality, even in noisy environments.
Launch and Pricing
The Nord Buds 4 Pro is scheduled to launch on March 19, though OnePlus has not yet announced pricing details. The current Nord Buds 3 Pro is available on Amazon for $74.01, suggesting the new model might occupy a similar price bracket, though the enhanced features could potentially push it slightly higher.
With the March 19 launch date approaching, OnePlus may reveal additional details about battery life, connectivity features, and specific pricing in the coming days. The combination of improved ANC, titanium drivers, and LHDC codec support positions the Nord Buds 4 Pro as a competitive option in the mid-range true wireless earbud market.
