Oppo launches a special edition 100W SuperVOOC power bank featuring a horse-themed design for Lunar New Year celebrations, maintaining the original model's charging capabilities at a slight price premium.

Oppo has unveiled a commemorative version of its high-capacity power bank in China, timed for the 2026 Lunar New Year celebrations. The Year of the Horse Limited Edition builds upon the existing 100W SuperVOOC Flash Charge Power Bank released earlier this year, now featuring exclusive aesthetic enhancements tied to Chinese cultural symbolism.
The most noticeable change is the redesigned exterior featuring a two-tone red and white chassis. The lower white section showcases gold-colored cartoon illustrations of horses – an animal representing luck and prosperity in Chinese zodiac tradition. This replaces the original model's minimalist aesthetic while retaining identical technical specifications.

Performance remains unchanged from the standard model. The 12,000mAh battery supports Oppo's proprietary SuperVOOC charging technology, capable of refilling compatible smartphones to 49% capacity in just 30 minutes. For non-Oppo devices, it delivers 45W USB Power Delivery (PD) charging through its dual-port configuration (USB-C and USB-A), enabling simultaneous charging of two devices. The power bank itself recharges fully in approximately 90 minutes when using compatible adapters.
Priced at CNY 249 ($36), the special edition carries a CNY 30 ($4) premium over the standard model. This positions it as a collector's item rather than a technical upgrade. Market availability appears strictly limited to China, contrasting with Oppo's global product strategy where charging accessories like basic VOOC cables have wider distribution in regions like Europe.
The power bank maintains all certifications from China's Compulsory Certification (3C) system, including safety protocols for high-wattage charging. Its 100W output remains among the highest available in compact power banks, though users outside China will likely need to import the device. For consumers in eligible regions, this edition offers identical charging performance wrapped in cultural celebration, while international users continue relying on Oppo's more widely available but less powerful accessory lineup.
