YC-backed RamAIn is hiring its first business hire to own go-to-market for AI agents that automate enterprise workflows 10x faster than humans

RamAIn, a Y Combinator W26 startup building AI agents that automate enterprise workflows, is seeking its first go-to-market and operations hire. The company has developed what it claims are the world's fastest computer-use agents, capable of operating legacy systems, desktop applications, and web portals at speeds 10x faster than human workers while maintaining higher reliability.

The role represents a rare opportunity to join an early-stage AI company as its third full-time employee, working directly with founders Shourya Vir Jain and Vansh Ramani. The position offers a salary range of $120,000 to $180,000 plus equity between 0.30% and 1.20%, with the company based in San Francisco.

The Problem RamAIn Solves

Enterprise teams still spend enormous amounts of time on repetitive, manual workflows that involve interacting with legacy systems and desktop applications. Despite advances in AI, most automation solutions struggle with the complexity of real-world enterprise environments where systems don't have clean APIs or modern interfaces.

RamAIn's approach is fundamentally different from traditional RPA (Robotic Process Automation) or basic AI assistants. Instead of requiring system integrations or API access, their agents operate at the graphical user interface level - literally taking actions on the screen the same way humans do, but with machine-level speed and precision.

The Technology Behind the Speed

The founding team brings deep technical expertise to this challenge. Vansh Ramani, the CTO, previously worked at Carnegie Mellon University on scalable machine learning and representation learning. His research includes publications at ICLR and ACS, and he developed "Panaroma," one of the fastest vector search algorithms that was later merged into Meta's FAISS library.

This background in high-performance systems shows in RamAIn's product. The agents aren't just automating tasks - they're doing so with a level of speed and reliability that the company claims is an order of magnitude better than human operators. This isn't incremental improvement; it's a fundamental shift in what's possible with enterprise automation.

What the Role Entails

The Founding GTM & Operations Lead will own the entire revenue engine as RamAIn's first business hire. This isn't a specialized sales role - it's a generalist position requiring someone comfortable operating across multiple domains simultaneously.

Key responsibilities include running outbound sales and managing the enterprise sales pipeline from first contact through close, building and executing marketing strategies across content, positioning, partnerships, and events, and managing the operational infrastructure of the company including vendors, hiring pipelines, finance, and legal coordination.

The ideal candidate will also represent RamAIn externally with customers, investors, and partners, while identifying what the founders should be spending less time on and taking those responsibilities off their plate.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

RamAIn is looking for someone with 1-5 years of experience in enterprise sales, consulting, or early-stage startup operations. The company emphasizes that this person should be comfortable owning a deal from first contact to close and be a strong written communicator, as they'll be writing outreach messages, proposals, and internal documentation.

Organization under pressure and comfort with ambiguity are crucial traits, given the early-stage nature of the company. Most importantly, RamAIn wants someone with genuine interest in AI and enterprise software - this isn't just another sales job, but a chance to help shape how AI transforms enterprise workflows.

Why This Matters Now

The timing for RamAIn's technology is particularly relevant. As enterprises continue to grapple with digital transformation, many are stuck with legacy systems that are expensive and risky to replace. RamAin's approach of automating at the UI level offers a way to modernize workflows without the massive infrastructure projects that typically accompany such initiatives.

For the right candidate, this role offers the chance to be part of building something genuinely transformative. Rather than incremental improvements to existing processes, RamAIn is attempting to eliminate entire categories of manual work through AI that can operate systems faster and more reliably than humans.

The Team and Culture

With only four people total and just two working full-time on the company, RamAIn operates with the intensity and focus typical of successful YC companies. The founders' backgrounds - McKinsey, CMU, IIT Delhi, and YC - suggest a culture that values both practical business impact and technical excellence.

The company describes itself as moving fast, thinking deeply, and building things that matter. For someone who thrives in environments where they can have outsized impact and help shape company direction from the earliest stages, this could be an ideal fit.

Interested candidates can apply directly through the YC platform to connect with the founders. Given the early stage and the direct involvement with the founding team, this represents one of those rare opportunities where a business hire can truly shape the trajectory of an AI company from its earliest days.
