Casio prepares to launch two new tactical G-Shock GA-2100CM watches featuring military camouflage patterns, inverted displays, and laser-painted 3D effects, maintaining core functionality while refreshing the popular rugged watch line.

Casio is expanding its G-Shock lineup with two new military-inspired models slated for February release. Leaked renders from Casioblog reveal the GA-2100CM-8A and GA-2100CM-5A, both featuring tactical camouflage designs applied with advanced manufacturing techniques.

The new watches represent visual updates to existing GA-2100 models, with both featuring inverted (negative) displays and camouflage-patterned resin bands and bezels. The GA-2100CM-8A uses a mauve taupe and grey camouflage scheme, while the GA-2100CM-5A employs desert-inspired sand and beige tones. According to Casioblog, Casio employs laser painting technology to create dotted patterns alongside the camouflage stripes, producing a distinctive 3D textured effect.

Functionally, these appear to retain the same 5611 module as their predecessors - the GA-2100CA-8A (2022) and GA-2100-5A (2021). This means users can expect identical technical specifications:

  • 200-meter water resistance
  • Carbon Core Guard structure for shock absorption
  • High-brightness LED backlight
  • World time for 31 time zones with daylight saving
  • Five daily alarms and stopwatch functionality
  • Automatic calendar

The military styling doesn't compromise the fundamental durability G-Shock is known for. The Carbon Core Guard structure maintains lightweight construction (approximately 51g) while providing impact resistance through a carbon fiber-reinforced case.

Pricing is expected around $120 USD based on leaks. Following Casio's typical release pattern, these models will likely debut in Japan before expanding to international markets. While the exact February release date remains unconfirmed, the tactical aesthetic targets outdoor enthusiasts and military-style accessory collectors seeking functionality with distinctive visual appeal.
