Honor launches its first 600-series device with premium features at mid-range pricing, featuring a large battery, high-refresh AMOLED display, and AI camera enhancements.

Honor has officially launched the 600 Lite, its first device in the new 600-series lineup, just months after introducing the 500 series in China. The mid-range smartphone is already available for purchase in Malaysia and Slovakia, with plans for broader global availability expected soon.

Premium build with practical durability The Honor 600 Lite features a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The panel stands out with an impressive 6,500 nits peak local brightness, making it highly visible even in direct sunlight. The display includes a pill-shaped cutout housing both a 16MP selfie camera and an optical fingerprint scanner for convenient biometric authentication.

Honor has equipped the device with an aluminum frame and glass back, giving it a premium feel typically found in higher-end smartphones. The phone carries an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, providing protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets, though it falls short of the full waterproofing found in flagship devices.

Performance and storage configuration Powering the Honor 600 Lite is MediaTek's Dimensity 7100 Elite chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. This configuration offers solid performance for everyday tasks, gaming, and multitasking. The Dimensity 7100 Elite is built on a 6nm process and features an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, along with a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.

Camera system with AI enhancements The camera setup on the Honor 600 Lite mirrors the configuration found on the Honor 400 Lite, featuring a 108MP main sensor paired with a 5MP ultrawide lens. While some users have expressed a preference for a 50MP main sensor over the 108MP option, the higher resolution sensor can capture more detail in good lighting conditions.

A notable addition is the dedicated AI Camera button, which provides quick access to camera functions. Users can launch the camera app, take photos or videos, and access visual intelligence features with a single press, streamlining the photography experience.

Software and battery life The device runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, offering the latest Android features with Honor's custom interface and optimizations. MagicOS includes various AI-powered features and enhancements specific to Honor devices.

Battery life is a strong point for the Honor 600 Lite, featuring a substantial 6,520mAh battery. This capacity should provide excellent endurance for heavy users, potentially lasting multiple days with moderate use. The phone supports 45W wired charging, allowing for relatively quick top-ups when needed.

Pricing and availability Honor has positioned the 600 Lite competitively in the mid-range segment. In Malaysia, the device starts at MYR 1,299 (approximately $330), while in Slovakia, it's priced at €300. This pricing strategy makes the phone an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers seeking premium features like a high-refresh AMOLED display and large battery capacity.

The Honor 600 Lite represents the company's strategy of bringing flagship-inspired features to more affordable price points. With its combination of a bright AMOLED display, large battery, capable processor, and practical features like IP66 rating and AI camera enhancements, the device offers compelling value in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.

For consumers in Malaysia and Slovakia, the Honor 600 Lite is available immediately through official retail channels. As Honor typically follows a phased global rollout strategy, the phone is expected to reach additional markets in the coming months.
