iQOO's new Z11 Turbo flagship combines Qualcomm's latest silicon with exceptional battery endurance and gaming-focused hardware.

iQOO has officially unveiled the Z11 Turbo in China, positioning it as a performance-oriented flagship with several standout features. The device centers around Qualcomm's cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor paired with an unprecedented 7,600mAh battery – a combination targeting both power users and mobile gamers.
Performance Architecture At its core, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 system-on-chip delivers desktop-grade processing power, leveraging TSMC's 3nm fabrication process for improved efficiency. It's complemented by the Adreno 840 GPU, which handles graphically intensive tasks. Memory configurations range up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and rapid app loading. Unique to this model is the dedicated Q2 esports chip, which dynamically allocates resources for sustained gaming performance. This works in tandem with an Ice Dome vapor chamber cooling system that covers 98% of the main board to prevent thermal throttling.
Display and Build The 6.59-inch AMOLED panel features a 1.5K resolution (2688×1220 pixels) with a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate for fluid scrolling and gameplay. Peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits under specific conditions, while 4,320Hz PWM dimming and DC dimming reduce eye strain during low-light use. Schott Shield glass protects against scratches and impacts. Design-wise, the phone maintains a slim 7.9mm profile despite the large battery, weighing 202g. Material choices vary: the Midnight Black version uses fiberglass composite, while Floating Light, Halo Pink, and Sky White options feature glass backs. All models include an aluminum alloy frame and IP68/IP69 dust/water resistance.

Camera System The dual-camera setup centers on a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture. iQOO claims this enables 4x lossless zoom through pixel binning technology. An 8MP ultrawide provides flexibility for landscapes, while the 32MP front camera supports detailed selfies and video calls. Computational photography leverages the Snapdragon chip's ISP for HDR10+ video capture and low-light enhancements.
Battery and Charging The 7,600mAh capacity is among the largest in any mainstream smartphone, potentially delivering multi-day usage for average users. It supports 100W wired charging using iQOO's proprietary protocol, which can replenish 50% in approximately 12 minutes based on similar implementations. Battery longevity is a key focus, with optimizations in OriginOS 6 to minimize background drain.
Software and Ecosystem Running Android 16-based OriginOS 6, the interface offers extensive customization but operates within vivo's ecosystem. This presents considerations for international users: Google Mobile Services aren't pre-installed in China, requiring manual sideloading for access to Western apps. The software includes gaming utilities like notification blocking and performance profiles tied to the Q2 chip. Security features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.
Connectivity and Audio Modern standards are fully covered: Wi-Fi 7 enables multi-gigabit wireless speeds, Bluetooth 6.0 improves peripheral connectivity, and NFC supports contactless payments. Dual 5G SIM capability ensures network flexibility. Stereo speakers provide spatial audio, while an infrared emitter allows the phone to function as a universal remote.
Pricing and Availability Currently exclusive to China, pricing starts at CNY 2,699 (~$390) for the 12GB/256GB model. Higher tiers include:
- 12GB/512GB: CNY 3,199 (~$470)
- 16GB/256GB: CNY 2,999 (~$430)
- 16GB/512GB: CNY 3,499 (~$500)
- 16GB/1TB: CNY 3,999 (~$570)
Global expansion remains unconfirmed. For Chinese buyers, the Z11 Turbo competes directly with gaming phones like the Red Magic 9 Pro while offering superior battery capacity. Its success may hinge on software adaptation for non-Chinese users should it launch internationally, given the absence of Google integration in its current form.
