Oppo is bringing Quick Share support to its Find X9 series, enabling seamless file sharing with Apple devices without third-party apps.

Oppo has confirmed that its Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones will soon gain the ability to share files directly with Apple devices, marking a significant step toward cross-platform interoperability in the Android ecosystem.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that a software update arriving later this month will enable Quick Share's AirDrop interconnection on its flagship devices. This means Find X9 series owners will be able to transfer files to iPhones, iPads, and Macs as easily as they currently share between Android devices.

Previously, Oppo users needed to install the company's O+Connect app on their iPhones to facilitate file transfers, which required both parties to have the app installed. The new Quick Share integration eliminates this friction point entirely.

According to Oppo, the feature was developed in partnership with Google and MediaTek, highlighting the collaborative effort behind this cross-platform functionality. The company emphasizes that users won't need to install any third-party applications to take advantage of the new sharing capabilities.

This move follows Google's initial rollout of AirDrop support in Quick Share, which first launched exclusively for the Pixel 10 family before expanding to other Google devices and now to select Android manufacturers. The Find X9 Ultra, expected to launch soon, will also support the feature.

The integration represents a significant improvement in user experience for those who regularly interact with both Android and Apple ecosystems. Rather than relying on cloud services or email attachments, users can now leverage the same intuitive sharing interface they're accustomed to within their primary ecosystem.

For Oppo, this positions the Find X9 series as particularly attractive to users who frequently collaborate with iPhone and Mac users, potentially influencing purchasing decisions for consumers who previously hesitated due to cross-platform sharing limitations.

The Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are currently priced at approximately €982 and €1,211 respectively, positioning them as premium flagship devices that now offer enhanced connectivity with Apple's ecosystem.
