After testing hundreds of MagSafe batteries, these three ultra-thin options stand out for their balance of portability and charging power.
I've been testing MagSafe batteries for years now, and I've probably gone through hundreds of different models. There's no shortage of options out there - you can find batteries with massive capacities, built-in cables, diagnostic displays, and every feature you can imagine. But after all this testing, I've come to believe that when it comes to everyday use, thinner is almost always better.
Here are my three favorite ultra-slim MagSafe batteries that you can buy right now.
Kuxiu B10 Ultra Slim power bank
The Kuxiu B10 isn't technically the thinnest option on this list, but it's probably my favorite overall. It's incredibly well-rounded and has a feature that I think should be standard on every MagSafe battery.
What you get:
- 9.1mm thin and weighs 120g
- Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
- 5,000mAh battery
- USB-C charging (in and out, up to 20W)
- Dual-sided MagSafe magnets
- Low-current mode for smaller devices like AirPods
The standout feature here is those dual-sided MagSafe magnets. While one side attaches to your iPhone, the other side has its own magnet ring so you can attach additional accessories. Want to add a MagSafe stand, wallet, or pop socket? You can do that without removing the battery. It's such a simple but incredibly useful feature that I wish more brands would adopt.
The Kuxiu B10 is currently on sale for $39 from Kuxiu's website, and it comes with a MagSafe ring holder so you can test out that dual magnetic design right away.
BMX SolidSafe Air 5k
If thinness is your absolute top priority, this is the one to get. BMX claims this is the world's thinnest solid-state MagSafe battery, and the numbers back that up.
What you get:
- 6.8mm thin and weighs 120g
- 5,000mAh battery
- Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
- USB-C with up to 20W wired output
- Brushed titanium enclosure
- Solid-state battery tech
For context, the iPhone 17 Pro is 8.75mm thin, and this battery is just 6.8mm. That's noticeably slimmer than anything else in this category, even compared to already thin options. Despite weighing the same as the Kuxiu B10, it feels lighter because it's so thin. In fact, it's even thinner than Apple's official MagSafe Battery Pack for the iPhone Air, which is 7.7mm thick.
The SolidSafe comes in three colors: Black, Silver, and Gold. You can get it for $59 on BMX's site, and they offer discounts if you buy more than one. I actually keep three of these charged and ready to go when I'm traveling.
Pitaka Aramid Fiber Magnetic Power Bank
I've been a huge fan of Pitaka cases since the iPhone X. They're ultra-thin and made with aramid fiber, which gives them an awesome look and feel. Pitaka brought that same design philosophy to their latest MagSafe power bank.
What you get:
- 8.8mm thin and weighs 118g
- 5,000mAh (also available in 10,000mAh)
- Qi2 wireless charging (up to 15W)
- USB-C with up to 20W wired output
- Aramid fiber construction
This is easily one of the best-feeling MagSafe batteries I've used. The aramid fiber finish adds grip while still feeling smooth and premium. It's thin enough to feel comfortable in your pocket without being bulky, and at 118g, it's technically the lightest of the three options.
It's currently on sale on Pitaka's site for $69 and comes in a multitude of colors and designs. If you're looking for something that balances design with thinness and you like the woven aramid fiber look, this is a great choice.
Final thoughts
I've always believed that MagSafe batteries should be thin and light enough to stay on your phone without being a nuisance. The bigger the battery, the less I tend to use it regularly. All three of these options hit that sweet spot - they're thin, charge at 15W, and feel like an extension of your phone rather than just another charger you keep in a bag.
My personal favorite is the Kuxiu B10 because of that genius extra magnetic ring, but if you want the absolute thinnest option, the SolidSafe is the way to go. And honestly, you really can't go wrong with any of these three.
What about you? Do you prefer slim MagSafe batteries like these, or do you like larger ones that can charge more than just your iPhone? Let me know in the comments!
