vivo reveals the X300 Ultra's fifth-generation Zeiss 200MP periscope telephoto camera with Samsung HP0 sensor, BlueImage technology, and CIPA 7.0-level stabilization.

vivo has unveiled the specifications of the X300 Ultra's telephoto camera, following earlier details about its main rear camera. The company recently showcased the phone's video capabilities at MWC 2026, building anticipation for this premium flagship.

According to vivo product manager Han Boxiao's Weibo post, the X300 Ultra will feature a fifth-generation Zeiss 200MP periscope telephoto camera. This advanced camera system uses a customized Samsung HP0 sensor, representing a significant upgrade in mobile photography technology.

The telephoto camera leverages vivo's proprietary BlueImage technology, which enhances multiple aspects of image capture. This includes improved color accuracy for more natural-looking photos, better autofocus performance for sharper images, increased power efficiency for longer battery life during photography sessions, and enhanced HDR capabilities for better dynamic range in challenging lighting conditions.

One of the most notable improvements is in image stabilization. The X300 Ultra's telephoto system offers up to 3-degree stabilization, a substantial upgrade from the 1.2-degree stabilization found in the previous X200 Ultra model. vivo claims this system achieves CIPA 7.0-level stabilization, which represents professional-grade stabilization standards typically found in dedicated cameras.

This enhanced stabilization enables longer and steadier exposures, allowing the camera to capture more light in various conditions. The practical benefit is particularly noticeable in low-light situations, where the improved stabilization should significantly enhance zoom performance. Users can expect clearer, less blurry images even when using digital zoom in dim environments.

The telephoto camera also features improved focus tracking capabilities, supporting up to 60fps motion capture. This high-speed tracking allows the camera to better follow fast-moving subjects, making it ideal for sports photography, wildlife shots, or any scenario where subjects are in motion.

The vivo X300 Ultra is scheduled to launch in China later this month, marking an important milestone as it will also make its global debut. This expansion to international markets suggests vivo's confidence in the device's competitive positioning against other flagship smartphones.

For mobile photography enthusiasts, the X300 Ultra represents a significant step forward in telephoto camera technology, combining high resolution, advanced stabilization, and intelligent processing to deliver professional-quality zoom capabilities in a smartphone form factor.
