vivo has quietly launched the Y31d, a budget smartphone that distinguishes itself with an enormous 7,200mAh battery, impressive IP69+ water resistance rating, and a 4G-only Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chipset. The phone was unveiled without much fanfare, though it shares similarities with the Y31 and Y31 Pro models while offering some key differences.

The most striking feature of the vivo Y31d is undoubtedly its massive 7,200mAh BlueVolt battery. This substantial power pack is significantly larger than the 6,500mAh batteries found in its siblings, the Y31 and Y31 Pro. According to vivo's claims, this battery capacity translates to impressive endurance figures: over 13 hours of MOBA gaming, more than 14 hours of continuous navigation, or nearly two full days of video playback at 45 hours. The battery is also rated for six years of use, suggesting vivo's confidence in its longevity.

Charging is handled by vivo's 44W FlashCharge system, which promises to take the battery from 1% to 50% in just 43 minutes. For users who prefer to game while charging, the phone includes a Bypass Charging option that allows the device to run directly from the charger, potentially reducing heat generation and battery wear during extended gaming sessions.

In terms of durability, the Y31d boasts an IP69+ rating, which is notably higher than the typical IP68 rating found on many flagship devices. This rating promises protection against splashes, rain, high-pressure water jets, and submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.
