GSMArena's poll reveals strong interest in vivo's premium X300 Ultra despite its €2,000 price tag, with voters split between admiration for its capabilities and sticker shock.

Earlier this week, vivo announced the start of the global rollout for its X300 series, with the X300 Ultra and X300 FE hitting different markets at staggered dates. Spain gets the phones on April 24, while other regions will follow. The X300 Ultra is already available on Amazon with a price tag that demands attention: €2,000 for the 16GB/1TB configuration.

Our weekly poll asked readers about their interest in the vivo X300 Ultra, and the results paint an interesting picture of the current flagship landscape. The phone received a very warm welcome, but with one significant caveat – people are curious about the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, which goes global on April 21.

The vivo X300 Pro didn't offer much challenge according to the poll, along with the smaller X300, both garnering less than 4% of the vote. The Pro sells for €1,400 and includes all the cameras that most people need, but the Ultra's superior specifications seem to be winning hearts despite the €600 premium.

What makes the Ultra worth the extra money? The main camera sensor is significantly larger at 1/1.12" compared to the Pro's 1/1.28", and European models get a massive 6,400mAh battery versus the Pro's 5,440mAh. These aren't minor upgrades – they represent tangible improvements in photography and battery life that enthusiasts value.

We initially thought the €600 premium would scare off most buyers, but the poll results suggest otherwise. About 20% of voters think the Ultra is too expensive, but they're looking at non-vivo flagships as alternatives rather than settling for the Pro. For context, the Oppo Find X9 Pro has an MSRP that's €100 lower than the vivo X300 Pro, making the Ultra's positioning even more interesting.

The global release strategy marks a significant change for vivo, which has historically been more region-focused with its Ultra models. This time around, they're going all-in with worldwide availability, and we have both the X300 Ultra and its Photography kit in for review. Expect a detailed report with plenty of camera samples soon.

The poll results reveal a market segment that's willing to pay premium prices for cutting-edge technology, even in uncertain economic times. While €2,000 remains a significant investment for a smartphone, the vivo X300 Ultra appears to be hitting the sweet spot for photography enthusiasts and power users who want the absolute best specifications available.

For those who can afford it, the X300 Ultra represents one of the most compelling flagship options of 2026, with its combination of camera capabilities, battery life, and premium build quality justifying the price for a dedicated subset of consumers. The real question is whether this level of interest translates to actual sales, or if the €2,000 price tag will ultimately prove to be a bridge too far for most potential buyers.
