Overview
Also known as a recovery phrase or mnemonic phrase, the seed phrase is a human-readable representation of the wallet's master private key. Anyone who has the seed phrase has full control over the funds.
Importance
If you lose your hardware wallet or forget your password, the seed phrase is the only way to recover your assets. Conversely, if someone steals your seed phrase, your funds are gone.
Security Rules
- Never share it with anyone.
- Never type it into a website or app.
- Store it physically (on paper or metal) in a secure, fireproof location.
