The widely recognized AnTuTu benchmarking suite has launched on iOS and iPadOS, introducing comprehensive performance testing to Apple devices and enabling direct comparisons with Android scores.

The latest version of AnTuTu, one of China's most prominent benchmarking tools, is now accessible for iOS and iPadOS devices through Apple's App Store. This release allows iPhone and iPad users to evaluate their devices using the same comprehensive testing methodology previously reserved for Android hardware.
AnTuTu Benchmark 11 provides a holistic assessment of device capabilities, analyzing CPU performance, GPU rendering, memory management, and AI processing within a single test sequence. This contrasts with specialized benchmarks that isolate individual components. Chinese smartphone manufacturers frequently reference AnTuTu scores in marketing campaigns and product launches, making it a de facto standard for performance claims in that market.

Cross-platform comparisons between iOS and Android devices using AnTuTu scores are expected despite technical caveats. Benchmark results across operating systems involve different software optimizations and thermal management approaches, making direct comparisons imperfect. Nevertheless, the availability of identical testing parameters invites inevitable performance juxtapositions.
AnTuTu's Android version remains unavailable on Google Play due to China's restriction of Google services. Chinese users typically obtain the app through third-party app stores like Huawei AppGallery or Xiaomi's GetApps. The iOS/iPadOS release marks AnTuTu's first official presence on Apple's global storefront.
The benchmark's scoring system evaluates several key areas:
- CPU Processing: Measures integer and floating-point calculations
- GPU Rendering: Tests graphics-intensive operations
- Memory Performance: Assesses RAM speed and storage read/write speeds
- AI Inference: Evaluates machine learning task execution
- User Experience: Simulates multitasking and interface responsiveness
Industry analysts note that while AnTuTu offers broad hardware analysis, platform-specific differences in iOS and Android architectures mean scores shouldn't be interpreted as absolute performance indicators. Factors like Apple's hardware-software integration and Android's vendor-specific optimizations create inherent testing disparities. The benchmark remains most valuable for comparing devices within the same operating system ecosystem.
