OnePlus appears set to accelerate its release schedule for its performance-focused T-series smartphones, with trusted tipster Digital Chat Station reporting the OnePlus 15T will launch in mid-to-late March 2026. This represents a notable shift from the April 2025 debut of its predecessor, the OnePlus 13T, compressing the product cycle amid increasing competition in the premium Android segment.

The device's core specifications point to a significant performance upgrade. According to established leaks, it will be powered by Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, positioning it among the first wave of smartphones utilizing this flagship processor. This chipset is expected to deliver substantial gains in both CPU/GPU performance and power efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 found in the base OnePlus 15 models.

Complementing the processor, the 15T is rumored to offer configurations reaching up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, catering to power users and gamers demanding seamless multitasking and ample local storage. The display reportedly remains a 6.31-inch panel but maintains high-end specifications: a sharp "1.5K" resolution (approximately 2772 x 1240 pixels) and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate, ensuring excellent clarity and responsiveness.

Battery life receives a major boost with a 7,000mAh capacity – a substantial increase over typical flagship batteries. This is paired with 100W wired fast charging support inherited from its predecessor. Crucially, leaks confirm the inclusion of Qi-compatible wireless charging, addressing a common omission in previous T-series models, alongside an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

However, the camera system appears unchanged from the OnePlus 13T. Reports indicate the same triple-rear array: a primary sensor, an ultrawide, and a 2x optical telephoto lens. This continuity has drawn criticism from enthusiasts referencing OnePlus's "Never Settle" motto, particularly regarding the lack of optical image stabilization (OIS) on the telephoto module and the absence of a higher-magnification periscope lens found on competitors. The unchanged camera hardware suggests OnePlus is prioritizing performance, battery, and display enhancements while keeping this generation's imaging capabilities consistent.

This earlier March launch timing places the 15T closer to the release window of Samsung's Galaxy S26 series, intensifying competition in the premium Android market. It also follows the reported cancellation of the OnePlus Open 2 foldable, potentially signaling a strategic refocusing on the company's core smartphone lines. If the rumored specifications and late March launch hold, the OnePlus 15T aims to be a compelling option for users prioritizing raw power, exceptional battery endurance, and high-refresh-rate displays, albeit without significant camera advancements over its predecessor.
