Oppo's new Reno15 lineup offers impressive specs across three models, but confusing regional naming differences complicate comparisons between global and Indian variants.

Oppo's Reno15 series launch has become a textbook case of smartphone naming confusion. Unveiled globally on January 1 before arriving in India a week later, the lineup features significant regional rebranding that's creating headaches for shoppers. The Indian "Pro Mini" corresponds to the global "Pro," while India's "Pro" is actually the global "Pro Max" model. This naming inconsistency makes direct comparisons challenging, despite all models sharing impressive hardware.

The flagship Reno15 Pro Max (sold as Reno15 Pro in India) sets the bar with a 6.78-inch 10-bit OLED display (1272p+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate) powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8450 chipset. Its triple camera system features a 200MP main sensor with OIS, complemented by 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP 3.5x telephoto lenses. The massive 6,500mAh battery supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Pricing starts at ₹68,000 (12/256GB) in India and NT$25,000 in Taiwan for the 12/512GB configuration.

Positioned as the compact powerhouse, the Reno15 Pro (global)/Pro Mini (India) packs flagship specs into a smaller 6.32-inch OLED display with matching 120Hz refresh rate. Surprisingly, it houses a 6,200mAh battery with 80W wired charging (no wireless) and shares the same Dimensity 8450 chipset and 200+50+50MP camera array as its larger sibling. The 12/256GB model costs NT$21,000 globally and ₹60,000 in India.

The standard Reno15 occupies the middle ground with a 6.59-inch display and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Its camera setup shifts to 50MP main + 50MP ultra-wide + 8MP telephoto, while maintaining the 6,500mAh battery with 80W charging. Pricing starts at NT$18,000 (12/256GB) globally and ₹46,000 (8/256GB) in India.

Despite the naming confusion, the Reno15 series delivers compelling options across price points. The Pro Max offers no-compromise performance, the Pro/Pro Mini provides flagship power in compact form, and the base model balances specs with affordability.
