Overview
Electronic components generate heat as they operate. If this heat is not removed, it can lead to thermal throttling (reduced performance) or permanent damage.
Types
- Air Cooling: Uses heat sinks and fans.
- Liquid Cooling: Uses a liquid coolant to transfer heat to a radiator.
- Passive Cooling: Uses only heat sinks with no moving parts (silent but less effective).
