MSI has unveiled the PRO DP10 A14MG, a mini PC that squeezes desktop-level performance into a compact 1.1-liter chassis. Aimed primarily at business and enterprise environments, this system offers up to Intel's 20-core Core i7 14700 processor, support for 64 GB of DDR5 memory, and a wide array of connectivity options.

Processing Power

At its core, the DP10 features 14th Gen Intel Raptor Lake processors with four configuration tiers:

  • Entry: Dual-core Pentium Gold G7400
  • Mid-range: Quad-core Core i3 14100
  • Performance: 10-core Core i5 14400
  • Flagship: 20-core Core i7 14700 (8P+12E cores)

The Core i7 variant delivers substantial multitasking capabilities through Intel's hybrid core architecture, handling productivity workloads efficiently though not designed for intensive graphics applications.

Memory and Storage

Two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots support up to 64 GB of 5600 MHz RAM, providing ample bandwidth for business applications. Storage is managed by a single M.2 2280 slot with PCIe Gen3 x4 interface. While sufficient for NVMe SSDs, the Gen3 limitation may affect peak transfer speeds compared to newer Gen4/Gen5 solutions.

Connectivity Hub

The port selection stands out as a key strength:

  • Front: USB 2.0 Type-A (x2), USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps), USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (5 Gbps), audio combo jack
  • Rear: USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10 Gbps), USB 2.0 Type-A (x3), HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, 2.5Gb Ethernet, power input
  • Optional: VGA, serial (COM), secondary HDMI/DisplayPort

Wireless capabilities include Wi-Fi 6E/7 and Bluetooth 5.3/5.4 depending on regional availability.

Enterprise Focus

Several business-centric features differentiate the DP10:

  • dTPM 2.0: Hardware-based encryption for secure boot and data protection
  • Chassis Intrusion Detection: Alerts administrators to physical tampering
  • Monitor Wake-on-LAN: Powers on when connected MSI displays activate
  • Kensington Lock Slot: Physical security against theft

The reliance on Intel UHD Graphics makes this unsuitable for gaming or GPU-accelerated tasks, positioning it strictly for office productivity, digital signage, and light computing workloads.

Market Position

MSI hasn't announced pricing or availability dates yet. For users needing graphical performance, alternatives like the AMD Ryzen-powered GMKtec K12 ($600) offer Radeon 780M integrated graphics. The PRO DP10 represents MSI's commitment to enterprise computing solutions, balancing processing muscle with connectivity in a space-efficient design ideal for modern workspaces.
